Is there serious talk coming out of the club that Tom McCartin's career is at risk, or is it just RWO rumour-mongering?

It is a worry. Had similar problems early in his career. Has become a serious issue and more and more players may be forced to give it away...not sure what can be done about it.

Sheldrick turned 19 late last year and you've wiped him already. Embarrassing.

I didn’t wipe him, I said we didn’t need to draft his type and his disposal is shocking, both are factual statements

What’s embarrassing is that any criticism of the club, even if it’s accurate, is shouted down by posters like you with nasty and snide comments. I

t’s a discussion forum not a brainwashing cult

What's accurate is that the vast majority of your posts just snipe at the club.

It’s pretty clear, you attacked me personally rather than addressing my point because you know I was right

I wonder why you follow the club when apparently it can't do anything right.

Just as society as a whole is becoming ever more polarised. Left and right so deeply entrenched and invested in their point of view, that "winning" is far more important than an actual discussion.
                    So too in RWO
We get the catastrophizers who express their personal gief/frustation at a bad run by seeing everything as black. And then we get the Polyanna's who seem to take every citicism of the club as a personal attack upon themselves.
Not naming names, and not buying in, but it's half time and I can't stomach listening to the idiot commentators on the telly.

Don't like so called fans turning the minute anything goes wrong. I always have the commentators on mute.

Never met caj23, bu some of those you disparage have been supporting the Swans (and been on RWO) for a very long time - so it's pretty clear they haven't turned when things go wrong, but have stuck fast.

FWIW I really, realy REALY dislike the "so called fans" epithet - it's right down there with the shock jock "un-Australian" jibe. It's also pretty close to the moderators 'play the ball, not the man' edict.

I think RWO would be a better, and more stimulating, place if conversations were more constructive and collaborative.
This thread in particular should be place for ideas/suggestions to be raised and their pro's and con's discussed thoroughly, it's not as if it's a week to week proposition.

Sorry if I sound a bit grouchy today, but I hated both the VFL and AFL games.

Respect your opinion on this R&R. I should resist temptation and not post on occasions. Don't you ever get exasperated by constant negative comments though?

Looking like we'll be holding a strong draft hand given our form and the Hawks form.

I'm concerned the correct call wasn't made at Pick 18 two drafts ago, we took Sheldrick who must now be given an extended run in the seniors with CBAs to see what he offers. Van Rooyen at pick 19 hurts.

                              Great post!

Nobody wants too much negativity but the moment someone vents frustrations they are attacked which is just wrong. Also nothing wrong with venting on here during or after a loss.

Have been on this board for almost 20 years but it’s been hijacked of late. Any opinion that’s negative on the club is shot down with personal attacks or their post labeled ‘embarrassing’ ‘farcical’ etc.
