Sheldrick has to play, Cunningham gives nothing
Gulden more fwd, we want him Blakey and Cambpell delivering it deeper. They are wasting Gulden
Heeney and Paps more Middle
Fox will be better for the run, he is 22
Let Mills stay in the middle all game long, plays too defensiveComment

Way too early to write off our chances, but we need to hit an upswing of form very quickly, as we don't have an easy draw and can't afford to drop many games to bog average teams (Which I think port will prove to be).
Rowbottom has had a slow start to the season to say the least. But if you think we are struggling in the clutches, chucking in Campbell is not going to alleviate why we are struggling. RB needs an intensive month of work with Kirky if you ask me - he just seems hesitant at the moment and not getting stuck in hunting the ball. We desperately need someone in the clutches to do more of the dirty work - Mills and Parker can't do all of it."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

If we are talking about the Finlayson goal in the last quarter: Finlayson looked like he marked it, but regardless, Rampe was holding his left arm. What got me is how easy they got possession to get it forward. We should have locked in at the centre bounce but we all know and 17 clubs know this is a glaring weakness of ours, yet in continues to happen.Comment

He is a truly dreadful umpire. Crucified us a couple of times last season too.
No doubt those 2 frees in the last quarter helped Port a lot - but there was a huge general momentum shift in the middle of that quarter as well. Maybe they wouldn't of got to us without them - but we were moving in quicksand towards the end, while they still had a bit in the tank. Yes losing 2 big talls didn't help our rotations etc - but we seem to have run out of juice 3 weeks in a row to some degree now. A worrying sign - but of course it is a long season ahead.
Big game next week now - we need a win to get back into positive win-loss territory.Comment

We won't play finals this year. No composure. No leadership. It's devastating seeing players's natural games stifled and, at the same time, rushing decisions (McInenerney, Stephens). Franklin is an absolute liability. Bad decision making, slow, lost confidence in his kicking. 95% of our forward entries were bombing long onto the heads of packs. Really abject display. And if we ever needed to see an argument for having an effective ruck, it was there tonight. Ladhams tapping down to Port players all night did my head in. Amartey was far more competitive, but I worry that we'll do to him what we did to Aliir, forcing hm to play out of position. Florent was going really well, but kicked poorly in the clinch moments, turning the ball over. Campbell needs to go into the midfield, possibly in place of Rowbottom. I rarely hit the panic button, but that was awful tonight, and I think that our lack of depth is going to be a big problem; there's no-one really banging down the doors to get a game.Comment

Longmire penalised for umpire dissent? [emoji3]He got pretty agitated when it didn’t look as if the 50m was going to be paid to Blakey.Comment

We just had too many passengers.
McInerney was poor again. He looks like a very soft footballer. Doesn't get near the footy anywhere near enough.
Parker: people are saying he was getting into the game. Anything he did got was negated by his rubbish delivery and selfish play. He attempted to kick an airey goal like he did 10 years ago. There was one play going to the left of the screen where the ball feel to him and another Swan. Parker took possession while the other player went left and Parker should have handballed over the top or even low to the ground. But no, he tries to do it all and go inboard, gets tackled, scrubs the kick for a turnover. To me he has lost pace and doesn't get to as many contests. Maybe the game is passing him by.
Cunningham is cooked.
Hayward: again he had about his average stats.9. Any chance he will chase in the forward line. Doesn't offer enough. Again how is he in the leadership group.
Agree with the other comments on Buddy.
Is Amartey a one game wonder?
Sure it's difficult to win when you are 2 down at half time but there was few who rose to the occasion.
To me we lacked leadership on the field.
Papley was the only one that looked likely up forward.
Mills seemed to go missing at times. Someone tell me Heeney is injured.
It seems now we are being carried by Florent, LLoyd, Warner, Gulden, Blakey and Rampe. I thought Rampe was terrific under the circumstances. Campbell was ok
The plus was Robbie Fox fitted seemlessly back into the team.
I thought Ladhams was good. It's not his fault that our mids can't work out where the ball is going. We were no better with Hickey. Gee he got crucified for that one where the umpire called play on. He didn't even look to handpass off. He went to go behind his mark after marking.
This team can't take us to top 4 even with the McCartins back in. I seems to me that Longmire is making the classic mistake of thinking this is the team to take us to glory. He has always been one to keep refreshing the team, but he seems reluctant to change anything. He will be forced to this week, but how far will he go. He doesn't seem to have the guts to drop continually poor performing players. Surely Sheldrick comes in next week.Comment

Maybe it's time we put Heeney behind the ball to sharpen him up. We have to plug a couple of holes for a couple of weeks.Comment
