Auntie, serious question - why do you refuse to call them the Lions?

      Trying to be funny?

Anyways, I watched the cricket for most of the second half. Did I miss anything?

cant agree with amerty and ruck both he and mcean are not ruckmen. macandrew is and he has the height needs game time and should be in side hickey gets tiresd with what he has toi do. Selected the new guy and he sat on bench for most of the gamn, should hasve srtarted up fwd and left there tet him learn the game. arnold also shopudl have been played we are crying out for key defenders with mccartins missing. Wick should never be selected again.

I still have great memories of the bears coming along to my primary school in 1987 and my first intro to afl

We had some much fun playing a game with the players and I was spellbound by the circular movement and speed of AFL

I suppose I can’t let go of the memory as it was the most formative AFL memory I have and from that day fourth I said time to stop playing soccer and start playing AFL

          Go the Bears ???? ????????

Would like to see Stephens get a full run in the midfield before his 50th Game
That's why his opposition player is playing on his right hand side. It seems now to be a habit to go left. You would think the coaches would be working on this.

Fair enough. I wasn’t having a go. My feeling is that it would probably annoy the Fitzroy people but given none of them are on here then it is no big deal. Although I’m a NSWelshman, I’ve always been proud of the way our club honours the South Melbourne side so thought it strange that anyone from the Swans would ignore this part of Brisbane’s history too.

What happened to McInerney? He was on fire in the 1st quarter, then might as well have been watching from the bar.

Rowy left to chase his own ball
Sheldrick in the mids, will be rising star this week
                  Stephens in the mids
                  Leave Wicks in QLD
Francis or Melican when Tom is right, not both
                  Fox deep
                  Like Amartey as 2nd Ruck
                  Harry very good lockdown
Ollie up the ground if Fox and Ramps are back
Pretty spot on. Definitely Melican ahead of Francis.

I’m still remembering how long it took Richards and Grundy to hit their straps when arriving at the swans

I’m on the fence still Re Francis

He has some strong qualities and sometimes it it is as much who is around u when playing certain tall teams

Especially in your first few games etc at a new club under manned

He is insurance at the minute

LOL.In Brisbane for the weekend and went to the game. Game plan didn't change it was a very high pressure game, especially in the first half. Both teams were under extreme pressure when kicking forward.

Otherwise he was red hot holding the ball. He kicks one in the last Q then when we find ourselves back in game, then butchers one from 30 metres. That's the 4th time this season when we have been in the game in the last quarter. He had 6 possessions for the game. Gives us nothing and you see other players playing their guts out to keep us in the game. He was beaten in the one on ones in the first 3 quarters every time. Weak as water.
Agree Nico. Hayward has escaped the axe (or much scrutiny) compared to some others, even though he has been almost invisible most weeks, barring a few cameo marks, etc.

I'd imagine he probably gets given a task most weeks that us supporters obviously aren't privy too, however I don't know how long we can put up with another passenger in our forward line considering the drastic drop off from Buddy and a few other players down on form.

I think we should bring in HHK to replace Hayward next week. We might try retraining Hayward in the VFL to play halfback.

Not a bad idea Ludwig. He could be decent back there.

Agree here Nico. I only was able to start watching from early in the 3rd qtr and can't even remember seeing him get a touch!
