If it wasn't for Collingwood Fans, Bombers fans would be the dumbest of the lot, going on the dribbling about the Wright-Cunningham incident we've seen from some. Some genuinely trying to argue the bloke going back with the flight is the one that should have the 'duty of care'.

They sure are an inbred lot the injectors when they want to be.

Whately is normally the best to listen to, knows MRO back to front

Its as simple as 3 variables
      Action - Deliberate, Reckless, Careless
      Impact - Severe, High, Low
      Contact - High,Medium, Low

The last 2 are straight fwd, the first is either Careless or reckless

Leigh Matthews made a great point that once a player is rule out unconscious, the offender should also be ruled out.

Remember when Lloyd got crunch last year, that cost us when he went off

I didn’t appreciate till I watched 360 tonight that Hinds had tried to elbow Chad in the jaw on what was I think his final goal. If he’d connected Chad’s jaw is broken and Hinds probably gets eight weeks. It was that bad. There also appeared to be a bit of a cheap shot, albeit light, on Jordon when he slotted his goal in the final quarter.

They are such a crap, ordinary club. I’d been inclined till now to view Wright’s act as wrong, but not deliberate. But after seeing those other acts, who knows.

There hasn't been a reckless/careless distinction in the way incidents are graded for a decade (or close to). They are graded as careless or intentional, or else determined not to be a reportable offence because the player was contesting the ball in an acceptable way. The AFL (via the MRO) has been reluctant to classify bumps (or collisions) as intentional, which leaves them without an explicit mechanism to distinguish between the Wright/Cunningham incident and the Webster/Simpkin incident. That's where the tribunal process comes in - there is clearly some assessment of culpability implicit within the sanctions they hand down.

It's a while back, but players used to be charged and suspended for 'attempting to strike'. Should still be the case.

Im really happy for Roberts last few weeks.

He looks like the guy who we all saw in the draft year ie a player that made good decisions and was always in and around the ball.

The coaches backed him when he looked shell shocked last season and very nervous...........he has pushed through, adjusted his mindset........and will be valuable for us this year and if injuries strike may even be able to play in the mids.

              Well done young fella !

              ............

Heeney - wow wee............I honestly didnt think he had the tank or speed for mids after watching him for many seasons struggle to keep pace when in that role. Rumours were it was his first pre season completely injury free and you can tell !! Heeney has stood up when it mattered most in these rounds without Patch, Mills, Parker. What depth !!

              ............

The coaching adjustments that "The Don" made to our game style in attack has truly been absorbed and imprinted into the DNA of our players and staff post his time with us.

To have our young guys now a few pre seasons in and a few seasons of AFL just has them absolutely running above the ground. We have definitely a high level of elite kicks in our team, but it is the elite positioning that is a marvel to watch. It looks like we are playing a mix between AFL, Soccer and Basketball when transitioning the ball from our back half.........its seriously a joy to watch.

"the diversity of the swans attacking football arose by common descent through a branching pattern of evolution" long live the Pyke Darwin !

Absolute clowns....I even saw a comment somewhere that said Cunningham should been done for 'front on contact'....seriously? FFS.

Hind should at least get a 'please explain', if only to let him know that 'we saw it, we don't approve.....and we're watching you'.

It looked like Harry marked the ball.

A four week holiday for 2 meet Pete. I don't mind the AFL handing out harsh penalties like this. I think he could have gotten a couple more.

I'm just devastated to know that Wayne Carey is not going to watch footy for the next four weeks. Could be a tricky period for him.
He has a bit of a history of getting into strife when he's at a loose end.

All these moaning former footballers, remind of the people that claim being beaten as a kid never did them any harm. And you immediately think, "well, actually." And then you wonder whether to say that sentence out loud, because you are aware of how psychotic they are.

Yes I'm going to lose sleep over poor Carey protesting the tribunal decision. What a fool. It's amazing how many in the media are living in the past.

Carey has had a lifetime of making bad decisions. After his latest one he was fired from all his media jobs at the Age, Channel 7 and Triple M.

Yes, he's made making bad decisions and doing and saying stupid stuff his life's work since retiring from footy. He's been doing it for
so long now you almost forget what a great footballer he was.

I think originally he said he would never watch footy on TV ever again, but then he said he wouldn't watch it for as long
as Wright was suspended. I'd just like to add that in four weeks we're going away for three weeks and I won't be watching
any footy as a protest for Wright not getting a seven week suspension for taking out Harry.
