And he wasn't that bad! He kicked 68 goals his last year with us.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

And that was (in the main) in a period when we weren't ****.
I guess they were all talls - I'm hoping that's why Dempster got the number and not other reasons (I'm scratching).
Funny after a few years some of the numbers get mixed up (talking about myself here)You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Paul Kelly started in some really high number like 46.
Can someone please give me a one page summary of this thread by lunchtime? You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Off the top of my head, Minton-Connell kicked over 50 goals in every year he played with us. Granted, he would have got the lion's share of supply, but in a crap team, it's not a bad effort. We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!Comment

Indeed M-C was a handy full forward in the dark days, remember how awful we were at times (and we grumble about delivery to the forward line now) and I recollect (someone might have clearer info) he kicked a very reasonable percentage of his attempts.
In all the banter on numbers I have not noticed the following yet
Jim Edmund
Steven Taubert
Merv Neagle
Stuart Wigney
Robert Heal
Tim Barling
are we going to have an all up number summary or what?Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl WarrenComment

Terry O'Neill left foot full back?
Keith Baskin was of 60's fame - 4
Reg Gleeson - 27
Kelly's first number - 45.
Healy - 3
John Pitura - 21
Any one got Robby Grima's number.
One goal Wharton was number 20 I believe. Called him one goal because all he kicked was a goal a match whether in the ones or twos.Comment
