It would be good to get this complete, what nos did Goldsmith and Cleggy wear?

Great to see the 'Moose' mentioned again, and Sanford Wheeler did he have the first 'dreadies' in the comp? And a great asset to the club, energetic defender.........and his band played at Club functions!

This should be a project for someone, update the numbers game, one of those million plus posters, who obviously have the time.......

Opinion only, but was a very frustrating footballer who kicked poorly and rarely performed against the top teams. Let us down far too many times for mine, an opinion shared by the boys just to the right of the scoreboard at the Lake Oval, and just to the left of the small pie stand.

Up in Sydney he did the business, hard at it and held his own when Dr Geoff bought the Mercenary squad, we must agree to disagree.

Direen was 33, and later 18
pretty sure Ben Doolan wore 4 at some stage
I think Graham Dempster wore 13
                          Don't forget Fitzy for 18
                          Rouvray was 45
Kent Butcher had 20 in 1996
Mark Orchard wore 24 in the late 90's
                          Bernard Toohey was 15
Garlick wore 35 early and later 29
Matty Nicks wore 36 in his first year
                          Micky O started in 38
Clinton King wore 37 and then 25
Ryan O'Keefe started in 39 and Ben Fixter 40
Kennelly's first year was in 41
Wade Chapman and Simon Arnott both started off in 42
McPherson wore 48 in his first year
                          Plugger finished up in 46!
                          Rocca wore 16
                          Troy Gray was 25
Matthew Ah Mat wore 29 in the early 90's
                          Brett Allison was 15
Scotty Russell's second and final year was in 29
Andrew Bomford was 44 in his first stint and 17 in his second
                          Ryan O'Connor was 16
                          Peter Caven was 26

Tho I doubt any of these will win their numbers!

besides the voting for the best player to have worn the number. I'd just love to know the history of the number. Perhaps this is something we can obtain from the club itself and record it on here as we are embracing our history more and more these days.
Here's my heart and you can break it

Can any-one get into the rooms. The history of each number should be on the lockers.

                                Terry Thripe??
                                Thripp.

I hought Stevie Wright was a fine player for the club - kicked 8 against West Coast and followed with 5 against Essendon in 1988 IIRC, plus 2 B&Fs.

                                Big fan of Brice too.

Other numbers I can think of:

                                11 - Peter Bedford

23 - Colin Hounsel, Justin Crawford
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
