The euphoria of the group around where I was sitting was amazing. Everyone had a story such as the bloke behind me had a cancerous growth from his eye removed during the week but wasn't going to miss it for the world even watching it with one eye. He was exhausted at the end of the game. I will remember the people sitting with me for the rest of my life.
I'll say it again. The best day of my life.!!!!!!!!

It got to 32 and a half minutes gone, and I'm thinking "Surely it's gotta go" When Leo took that mark, the whole ground went nuts, and we realised the siren had gone - It was a big relief! I got hugged by people I did'nt know.

From where we were sitting we could lean bag and see a monitor with the Ch 10 feed. Through the last quarter it seemed like the clock was permanently stopped. Once the 5 min warning came though I knew we would be looking at about a 32-33 min quarter.

Couldn't hear the PA from our seats at the quietest of times, so had no hope of hearing the siren, but saw the players with their arms up running to each other, jumped up and down, screamed, hugged everyone around me and just went nuts!!

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

People around us were hugging people they didn't know. Plenty of tears flowing from some of the long-term fans. And then the first of several rousing renditions of Cheer Cheer.
More of the same after leaving the ground and heading to Punt Rd for the after-party. Then joined the after-after-party in Clarendon St - what a night.

I'd experienced premierships at Essendon before, so unlike the majority of this board I had some idea what to expect, but this was different. At Essendon, the premierships were expected, like a formality; and because they were decided well before the finish a lot of the celebrating had already been done before the game was over. This time, with the game going down to the wire and the result being the first premiership for the club for 72 years, it was a very different feeling.

Ditto!! My experience to a tea!

(The MCG really needs a better PA system, couldn't hear a thing, not ONE siren)

I was screaming at how good leo's mark was, then i faintly heared my brother say "thats it" or something and couldn't believe it. Then I sat on the couch and let my heart rate slow down for the next day and a half.

I was waiting for a bit where after a speech, everyone would clap, because then the atmosphere would be huge and I'd get tears. Unfortunately, it never happened.

Just reading this thread has made me cry again.

I was sitting in M34 behind the goals at the city end. The tension in the last quarter was unbelievable. The army of Swans supporters, thousands of them around me, were either screaming their heads off or too stressed to utter a sound.

I cannot adequately describe what it was like there when the siren sounded but it will stay with me for the rest of my life. I didnt hear the siren but knew that it had sounded when the players started jumping up and down with joy. Thousands of Swans supporters jumped and screamed for joy as one. I grabbed my two best mates and hugged them tightly and we jumped up and down together and yelled out like lunatics. I then hugged Jeffers, Erin and Tuesday who were sitting next to us. I then fell into my seat and sobbed for about 30 seconds. It was the emotional release I needed. After that I was back on my feet and sang the club song over and over and over again.

It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
