Your club should combine the next AGM with the wedding that you are having. You could turn on a banquet, bit of a dance, nuptials, chance for a laugh.....all you need to do is make sure that 12 of the wedding guests are paid-up members of the club too.
Get the club to fast-track the renno's to the clubrooms and, voila,.....there's your venue !

      Sounds fair enough to me.

In the meantime rebuild from the ground up with quality people - see other posts on here about starting up in a lower division and building over time. The message that a refreshed Balmain was re-commencing in 2014 somewhere in their traditional community would be a better, more certain one to be out there.

A brief time-out from the rumours and innuendo to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy the break; and here's hoping the new year brings some great footy to us all.

Savious hates travelling out this way, he won't get a nod. And, he thinks we're thugs on the paddock, imagine what we'd be like on the sauce.

Last time I was out there one of the players tried to punch on with a dad on the sideline, think his name was rhino. Would have been a while ago now.

They'd have been those two old blokes that decided to follow Ryno off the field and abuse him while he was away from the playing group. I was the bloke upstairs that took exception to it and stepped in to back Ryno up. They backed off pretty quick, weak pricks they were.

Ummm if this is the incident I am thinking of (3 or so years ago and I was on the field at the time so am only going off hear-say after the game), these "dads" on the sideline were sober and did nothing to provoke the incident. As for them being weak? Well I'll just say this, one of them is a Black Belt and has actually punched out a horse so you're lucky he has self control and did not inflame the situation.

Holy God, we are 7 days into the new year and that's easily the Post of the Year. Stop watching Mel Brooks movies.

Hang on, I'm getting confused...how come a horse was doing karate on Pekay's footy oval anyway ? Hasn't the Hawkesbury Council put up a sign banning horses from the playing arena ?
And how come Pekay stepped in to protect Rhino, but left the horse to fend for itself ? I think your a bit of a wooss yourself Pekay.

I lost money on the horse, probably. Happens a fair bit
