I am 22, and have played since I was 9. I don't mind wearing joggers as I imagine most of people do not play football on the weekend.
I am still keen, it'd be great if we both had full sides! We can play on a reasonable sized field then.
I remember RWO had a similar "intra club" type match, on a very small ground. That was interesting, and a few of the people I met that time around will hopefully be around again!
That weekend's also the Sydney AFL prelim final, where my presence is required for RWO. The date & venue are not yet confirmed (will probably be Saturday afternoon), but if it doesn't clash I definately still want to play.
Unfortunately I am unable to play. I am currently sporting a lovely immobilisation boot due to an ankle injury (bloody soccer!) and even if I'm out of the boot, my ankle will still not be up to running, never mind kicking a football.
The grass on Moore Park Oval (or whatever it's called) is looking better already. Might be ready in time for the game. A new problem has presented though, one of the goal posts is now missing!

As long as we run to that end all day (double the goal width).
Does anyone know if you can just rock up and use that ground anytime? I know we used it for a trial game but UNSW/ES organised that so I don't know.
I was assuming it would be totally kick and giggle (emphasis on giggle) given that if any of the Carlton group had "game" they'd probably get a run for the Blues
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.
I've played a few muck around games in Centennial park. One year a guy made some goals out of PVC pipe and another year out of bamboo (wasn't great in the wind). There's plenty of space there if someone has some Auskick goals & it's pretty central - but I'm happy to go anywhere.
With the Nor-West Jets having qualified for the Second Division Grand Final in a fortnight, you will have to rule out myself and Pekay from this match.
It's unfortunate that it clashes, but I'm sure everyone knows where we would rather be - and where we will be.
We would love to play, but there are a few bigger fish to fry on that particular weekend.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
