I had a look tonight. Hard to tell in the dark, but the ground is not that bad with a reasonable coverage of green stuff (couldn't tell if it was grass or weed). The cricket pitches are covered in softish sand (might have to fill the odd rabbit hole).
The oval isn't huge but big enough for our needs. There are posts (little ones) & boundaries are marked. There's even 50m circles (which are more like 40m from goal) - but hasn't everyone dreamt of kicking one from outside the circle?
Parking might be a problem. There is car access from both South Dowling & Cleveland street to the building shown on the Google map. - but the gates were locked - I will try to contact Centenial Parklands tomorrow to find keys but can't promise they'll let us have 'em.
There are toilets in the building but it was also locked - hopefully it'll be open on the day.
Guys I have organised to pick up the Water bottles we use at South West and will fill them with water prior to leaving the finals at Kelso. My wife has also offered to run water for us (anyone have a small cougar top size 6-8 for her to wear).
Opps shouldnt have mentioned that Pekay may now decided to desert the Jets in their hour of need for self gratification.
Grab a bus from central towards the SCG and hop off there - pretty quick walk from there. have a look a few pages back and u will get an idea where the ground is in relation to the scg
