Yep, most likely on the training oval outside the ground.

        Okay, I've given up resisting.
I'm in as long as it is finished at least an hour before the seniors.
        Work commitments, you see.....

Wish you were right, but no, I work at Swans' matches.
The hardest part of the work is not screaming my lungs out in support of the team.

Than game is getting closer and we need to work out a possible venue and day to play it etc.

I would suggest that the game be played on the training oval outside the SCG on the Sunday prior to the game at about 10am.

This would allow plenty of time to get the game over with and have a few drinks and clean up a bit.

How many people are still interested - remember this is a social game open to both genders and should be played in good spirit.

Please post on this board or send me a PM so we can get things organised properly.

They've been doing a bit of work on the oval outside the SCG, does anybody know if they're finished yet? Looked like they were re-laying some turf a few weeks back and I've seen various work trucks and tractor-type things from time to time.

I'm out now. I'm wearing a lovely immobilisation boot thanks to an ankle injury. Affects my kicking ability

Last time i looked at the oval outside, it seemed they were preparing the pitch for the summer - so might make it hard - but it would be the perfect place to have a run (and a laugh)

Guys the boys on the Carlton site have suggested playing the game on Saturday so we can all have a chin wag and a few drinks and eats afterwards. Im pretty easy going as to what happens. Also I am volunteering to do the umpiring duties as I have been told not to play contact sports ever again.

If we did play on Saturday maybe an oval such as Trumper could be utilised as I dont think there would be any footy there by that stage.

                      Suggestions?

Apologies if I have missed previous discussions however, is it possible to use the ground out the front of the SCG?

It looks very dodgy right now. There are large patches of grass that have just been re-laid by the look of it. About 1/3 of the field. Still a few weeks away so it might be better soon.

                            Thats 17 in Total - 18 if I dob wheels27 in.

Are you guys still interested? As mentioned the guys on the Blues site want to play the game on Sat so we have have a bite to eat and beer or dozen afterwards.

Also I have noted the young ladies with a (f) to acknowledge that we are aware of you and that the game is to be played in good spirits meaning you wont get tackled (molested - unless you indicate a preference).

Tumper sounds like the ideal place if we cannot play outside theSCG due to refurbishments. If the Goal posts are down I can provide temp ones (auskick).

Righto mate, as long as you give me an armchair ride with the frees

you'd probably have to get in contact with the UTS guys and see if Trumper is an option, otherwise there is a ground on Sydney Park Road (near the brick towers) don't know the name but I know there are posts up there.
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.
