The reason i say that (and this could change) Curnow hasnt nominated us specifically, in fact the opposite, we are last choice and while Geelong and Suns are in play, I cant believe we can satisfy Carlton like GC easily could.

Otherwise we are far too comfortable to have Buller and Ladhams OOC after a year where our Fwd line ruined our season.

Im hoping we have something done and it isnt another thing to pile onto our recent form of recruiting incompetence

Maybe JUH is KBs parting swing ?

He's 29 next season and missed the last 4 games through injury. He signed a long term contract to the end of 2029, and is now sooking and wants out. He doesn't look like a club man to me. I heard Isaac Heeney on SEN this morning he sounded very much like we need to support the Academy, so we shouldn't be wasting picks on a Curnow trade.
      Totally agree

        He's 18yo.

Like ive said 1000x, how our MC select a team next year particularly fwd, is our biggest concern

As far as Curnow, I think we are more likely to be chasing JUH, huge risk potentially big reward.

It just seems to me, based on Buller and extending Amartey, we have something already done and I think that could only be for JUH
How are we going to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear?

Totally disagree. As players mature they learn game sense. With many draftees they aren't born with game sense. Once they get into the senior ranks their mind expands and they learn way more about the game and how it's played.

Agree it's a huge risk but so is going into a season relying on 2 fwds that played 8 games "combined" with no depth.

Would love to see it but I doubt Green gets more than 10 games in, we may as well shut the doors if Grundy got injured without Ladhams and Buller around.

Steven May would be an adequate stop gap for a year or two but he has serious anger management issues that tainted the Demons. I’d be interested in him on a 2yr deal to fill in. But he’s no solution, we’d need to do something pretty serious in the next year or two with him aging and Rampe retiring. The elephant in the room is also how long McCartin can play for

They learn the system but not game sense its subtle but it’s a big difference, it’s why player like Braeden Campbell and Gary Rohan (just a couple examples) never reached there potential, let’s agree to disagree and if I am wrong it’s one of those times I am happy to be lol ?

Curnow is not any chance of coming to us, we don't have anything like the trade currency, just forget it was ever mentioned.

Gold Coast do have the trade currency, the only club that could get the trade across the line.

Geelong is going home for Charlie, will play for less dollars in the cap but will have remarkable good fortune with property purchasers vis the Costa Living allowance in play at Geelong. BUT, Cats don't have anything like the required trade currency.

List management looking a disaster for us currently.

Completely agree. How anyone can make a judgement like this about such a young player is extraordinary.

Agree, the problem is not the forward line, it’s the aging defence.

I agree , I think he would be worth the gamble for say 2 years. Our backline needs something.

I can’t imagine how May and Rampe could play in the same defence. One is a leader the other I’m not quite sure how you would describe
