Yes, we played like dogs droppings, the intensity and awareness was way down and the field kicking atrocious. But the circumstances were that the real pressure was off both teams, which resulted in our mob playing worse than usual and the cats playing better. Better now than in a knock out game come September. If we play like @@@@ then, I?ll have something to say. For now I remain hopeful that the real team will turn up when it counts.
But the pressure WAS on us ORB. We could have sealed up 3rd spot more or less by winning in Geelong. We lost & have now pretty much screwed up our chance of getting the all-important double chance come September.

If that wasn't an incentive to play well, I don't know what is.

Yep they had everything to play for and turned in a shocker. Typical Swans performance unfortunately where we always seem to make it hard for ourselves.

Crouch is 100 times better than bevan. Crouch at least has awareness in the back line and contibutes less goals to the opposition. Anyway Crouch is a test for this week. PLEASE ROOSY LET HIM PLAY.

There is no way Crouch will be brought back into the seniors this week after only lasting 10 minutes in a reserves game two weeks ago.

I wouldny go that far. We only have to win our last two relatively easy games (one would think) and hope that either Freo or the Dees lose one of their last two relatively difficult games.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too.

BTW Cruiser, where did you end up sitting at the MCG the weekend before last?

I was very dissappointed that the first tier and the padded seats were all reserved. We moved up a tier for the first quarter but it felt too high up so moved down to the concourse the the rest of the game, just behind and to the right of the cheer squad and loved it there - 98% red and white.

You must've been sitting near the one really loud Dees supporter, in that see of red and white. He was sitting near there.

We were up the top where I was against Hawthorn, but at the back, where you walk in, with the pram and baby in the disabled seats.

Was he the (one sole) guy telling me to sit down & shut up? I look around at him as if to say "Is that the best you can do?"

The Melbourne 'home' match level of intimidation could not be worse. I reckon the Ponsford Stand at the MCG is actually MORE pro-Sydney than an SCG or Homebush home crowd (because of the amount of casual fans tourists & Paddington socialites in attendance)!

If brought back Crouch would be averaging 1150 disposals, 540 marks and 430 tackles!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

No, he was no where near you, so you wouldn't have blocked his view.
