      The general gist ....

Seven and Ten will each televise four games each weekend. Seven will show one game on a Friday night, two on a Saturday and one on a Sunday afternoon, while Ten will have two Saturday games and two Sunday games ? the 1pm game and the new twilight fixture.
They will sort out game start times so that not too many games are shown concurrently.

... with Ch7 still keen to offload Friday night live to Ch31 in Sydney & Brisbane as part of the commitment to building the market in the northern states.

They'll sort it out. Eight games FTA (even if they're played after midnight). Come on people ... you've gotta be happy with that.
      I know I am.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Sorry pet, you're gunna have to get one of those split screen tv's to watch all the games live next year. There WILL be games played against each other.
I'm going to buy another hard disk recorder ... I'll have the whole season on DVD by the end of the year!!

Roos feels the best outcome for the Swans and AFL in the Sydney market is live footy throughout the weekend.

"I want live football on Friday nights and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons and so forth, so it can be accessed by as many people as it can be," he said.

"To me that is the best outcome that can happen. Who provides it I am not sure but that is certainly what we are after, making sure that everyone gets a chance to watch live footy."

Me too, It's the best we have ever had with TV coverage and it's all FTA so I don't have to subscribe to pay TV either.

Foxtel are gone. PBL has blocked it.

I doubt ch 31 will get it. The strong money is on SBS2 digital. I cant confirm this, but I'm led to believe both ABC2 and SBS2 can show whatever they want in 2007, and since SBS2 can show some ads, and is obviously desperate for content, everyone is keen.
Ch 31 would need to go digital for it to be a chance, and that seems to be getting blocked by the government.
The commecials can also multichannel on HD next year, but there is some rumour that sport wasnt allowed. That, coupled with the poor uptake of HD boxes means its probably a no go.

I cant wait for next year. 8 games a week on FTA on some channel. Its going to be huge. The digital revolution has just begun.

Meanwhile, there are reports that TVS (C31) could be switched off on December 22 unless some changes are made regarding partners Slice TV and the University of Western Sydney, and subsequent funding received.

Is there any guarantee in the 7/10 agreement that live will be shown into Sydney except for friday nights?
I hope we are at least as well off as last wear on most sat/sun afternoons with live games?

Ch 31 what? up here on the Central Coast and other country areas, the AFL would be absolutely stupid to allow that. It doesn't have the cover.

I want it to be on SBS and have the Iron Chef (japanese version) on at half time.

I could never understand how they got the rating information for last year but I too now have a ratings box and this year I will have evryone (dog included) watching the Swans.

Bit I will still support Iron Chef at half time over the drones on Ch 10.

Not long now for Brucey and Sandy!!! Leanne @@@@, I mean Leanne @@@@ would be proud!!
