Mission impossible. While I also think the Donk could have been a fantastic player, and his form late last year was very encouraging, I think 5 years of injuries and a dozen or so games is just about enough.

He may be given a year extension if we cant trade for a ruckman to replace Jolly, but it will be in pure desperation. I think the donk is shot.

To Hawthorn plus second round pick for Dowler.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Herald Sun story as well, but has his wife wanting a 3 year contract if he is to stay.

Which means he may not go anywhere.

What is the status of his existing contract?

I wish his wife was on a three-year contract.
          What a nagger.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I cant see the swans baulking at 3 years, and this is exactly why we have the 10% salary cap loading so we should be able to match or better most offers.

Unfortunely, we dont have any big name players retiring this year, and if a few are on back-ended contracts, we might not have enough spare cap room to give Jolly what he wants.

              For once I totally agree!

I think sometimes the value of pure ruckmen is overstated. We've seen this year Jolly develop the ability to play more around the ground and play important roles in defence and attack at varying points of the game.

Having said that, I would be devastated if Jolly left and we didn't come out well from the trade.

All though it seems unlikely at this point, I for one would love to see Fev at the Swans if we have to lose Jolly.

Do we have anymore players who qualify under the "legends" rule, e.g. like Micky O?

If as everyone is saying it is SHE that wants to go home...

Then this comment may provide some hope...

It may be a ploy to get a bigger pay packet, knowing that Spida is only a short term option.

I disagree. Kosi is stuck somewhere between Adam Goodes and Darren Jolly. Not a tap ruckman, not a great follower. Add in a bit of the donk with regards injuries and you've got the ingredients to explain why St Kilda havent capitalised on the raft of early draft picks they built their team on.

For us Jolly > Kosi. Especially when we already have a Goodes.

                      Herald Sun story

Jolly, whose wife, Deanne, had their first child in Grand Final week last year, is believed to want a three-year contract if he is to stay in Sydney.
If thats all she wants then whats the bloody problem, the Swans should just sign on the dotted line.

It would want to be cheap if it's going to take three years.

Maybe I should have used the "rolls eyes" - but I don't like to cause I consider it rude.

Like your wife stays in the kitchen and doesn't bust your chops!!
