Tonight showed what you wanted to do with your AFL career next year.

Piss of back to Victoria Jolly.

    We'll take a 1st rounder thanks.

However, there's still work to do especially if we get a chance vs WC next week - Cox was brilliant for them again last night & you get the feeling he steps up to #1 for WC in the absence of Kerr, Cousins & (effectively) Judd.
Outstanding success! If you're a Hawthorn supporter, maybe.

Numerous lazy mistakes, barely 50% of game time, mediocre stats. We have not really been any stronger in the ruck than we were last year with just Jolly (Chambers doesn't count). Indeed, watch the way Brisbane and Collingwood in just the last few weeks have been constantly able to carve us up with fast breaks from ball-ups. Having a good tap ruckman means little if there is nothing there to tap to.

The reality is that we have a player who will maybe fill a hole for two years. An "outstanding" recruit is a player like Craig Bolton, who has been an All-Australian and has provided, and will provide, many years of valuable service. Everitt is, at best, serviceable, and I maintain he has had absolutely minimal impact on our progress this year. Getting him was a panicked move after Jolly had a bad day against the best ruckman in the comp.

Doyle is not going anywhere as he has been signed to a 2 year deal at the end of the 2006 season so he will be with the Swans next year

Hopefully he can stay injury free and play an important role with Spida and maybe wood as a backup

We will see what happens but the Swans can not delist Doyle

We can, but it'll cost us

It will probably cost the Swans a fair bit of money if they do that and I think that Doyle has still a lot to offer the Swans if he can stay injury free

He was one of their best player in the grand final last year and did ten times better than Jolly

Hey, I am a St.Kilda supporter what would you guys say to a trade of

              Jolly and Grundy
              for
Barry Brookes and a 2nd round pick?

Barry Brookes is a young ruckman/ full forward who hasn't been given a chance and St.Kilda even though he has dominated the VFL and done nothing wrong in the only games he has played for us...
Do you think you would be interesed, just look at what you turned Hall into...

Lol, nah Kosi just signed up for 3 years, so he surely aint going anywhere!!

What about Grundy and Jolly for a 1st rounder?
If Jolly is as keen as everyonne is making him out to be to return to Melbourne (Which I doubt) a 1st round pick may be the best you will get...

Ahh. no thanks. Jolly Is a premiership ruckman in his prime. With the demand for ruckman in victorian clubs, he is worth at the very least your 1st pick #9. Barry Brooks while a high draft pick for port has done nothing of note in a team that has been crying out for a ruckman. Bloody hell, he couldn't even get a ruck possie over Jason Blake who is 189cm.

We have put in alot of time with Grundy who i think will come good so i say no to the 2nd rounder for him.

Jason Blake is not a ruckman, we only use him because we've got Kosi as our number 1 ruckman and we had Fraser in the forwardline so there was really no need to bring in Brookes to be only a 2nd ruckman we would rather have Blake who can shut down the bigger midfielders.

You guys took Barry Hall when he had done very little of note and if you are expecting a first round pick for Jolly you are in for a let down and if he does want to go back to Melbourne he may just get there throught he PSD.
Carlton: Jolly is not worth a 1st or 3rd pick.
Collingwood: Very unlikely to give up a high draft pick due to their recent recruiting.
                      Essendon: Laycock, Hille and Ryder
                      Hawthorn: Possible
                      Kangaroos: McIntosh, Hale and Moran
                      Mellbroune: Youth Policy
                      Richmond: Youth Policy
                      St.Kilda: Perfect Fit
                      Bulldogs: Youth Policy
There are a few teams that already have quality ruckman, there are a few teams that are rebuilding and by the time they come good Jolly will be past it and then there are a few possible options in COllingwood, Hawthorn and St.Kilda, but you will not do better than Brooks and 2nd rounder for Jolly and Grundy....

Your dreaming Jolly is in his prime and a premership ruckman he is easily worth a first round pick.Brooks and Grundy are IMO about even as players are worth so there fore they cancel each other out.Jolly= 2nd round pick.... yeh when hell freezes over.

I might take that. Pick 9 may be enough to get Alex Rance.

To tell you the truth I would accept Jolly for 1st round pick, it would give us a dominant ruckman, it would free Kosi to tear it up in the forward line and we would only lose a draft pick, and our recruiting hasn't been great of late.... however you know how protective supporters and clubs are of their high draft picks so I wouldn't be surprised if we turned that deal down...
