If we didn't take Daffy we wouldn't have Hall.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Trade him...
I am serious.
The Swans are likely to go into downturn shortly. We may do 'alright' next year but 2009 looks decidedly ordinary.
A clubs ability to stay near the top is their movement whilst they are at the top.
This may prove difficult if he is out of contract though.
We can realistically demand a player (Cameron Wood) and another young player, or draft pick for Jolly. He is one of the premier ruckman in the competition. Has added around the ground ability to his game this year. Has a premiership medal.
This will give us a ruckman that will develop next year under Everitt (and Currie in 2009 under Wood). Another draft pick, or young player who we can add to our squad for the future.
We could also look at trading the 'overrated' players on our list such as Jude Bolton, who is getting on and we would not really miss.
If we are to make a quick turnaround at the top, and not bottom out in a couple of years, now is that time to cement our future.Comment

could be spot on there mase. do agree on the b1 idea , interesting on champion data stats he is rated up in 0 s ahead of a lot of notable names.
lets take advantage of the way he is overrated in melb. we may just get some decent players out of this that would allow us to stay very competitive without having to bottom out.Comment

I still doubt if they would have kept him anyway - they like to run with White playing about 70% or more of the game. Jolly showed what he could do in 2003 when White was injured, however when White returned in 2004 for a full season, Jolly was relegated back to minimal game time.Comment

No. I think Broadbridge was a backman. He was only 191cm.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Let's get this straight. Mrs UnJolly wants to go back to Melbourne because of family. This I can understand. However, she will stay in Sydney for another three years if a contract is offered?
I think the latter is being used as an excuse to save UnJolly face.
Trade him. Donkey gets a contract for at least another year. He doesn't make it, gives a rookie a chance of promotion.
I have no problem with that. Who knows Donkey might be eeee orrrrr eeeee orrr right next year.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

I don't think we will ever get a decent return from Donk.spriteComment

Donk is finished. Let's face it, he's had 5 straight years of chronic injuries.
As for Jolly, he would command a top 10 pick easily and Roos has to make the decision whether we start rebuilding now or at the end of next year. The top 10 pick would be really handy for this but do we have one more year in us to challenge for the flag?Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.
