hmmmm. If Jolly does decide to go home, i'm sure the Pies would be actively chasing him up now after the performance of Richards and Bryan tonight.

        His stocks went up again.

A ruckman is possibly more important for them than Judd. Ottens destroyed them tonight.

He's not moving...at least according to his manager: source

SYDNEY ruckman Darren Jolly has given his manager no indication he wants to leave the Swans.

Michael Quinlan said yesterday the only club with which he was negotiating for Jolly was the Swans. Jolly's contract expires at the end of next month.
I bet the whole thing was a beat-up - a bit like the "O'Keefe to Melbourne" rumours that used to come up every year...

That's OK, we can still offer our first round pick for him.

There is absolutely no way the Lions will accept a second round pick for Wood unless he quits them. Even then, he'd had so many suitors that they'd get a better deal for him. He's still a bit of a risk but has shown enough to suggest that, at worst, he'll develop into an AFL standard ruckman. He could yet become significantly better than just an average one - and even an average one would command a low first round pick.

4 years? Damn, that's more than what Jolly originally bargained for. Didn't he want 3 years originally?

But you always go in with more that you bargained for so when the negotiation happens you dont come out behind. If I wanted to sell my car, my asking price would be 2K more than what I would settle for. Swans might be happy with 3 years but are dangling 4 to see if they can get it.

I hope the Swans aren't letting Jolly interview them, like Judd is doing to the melbourne teams because it's a disgrace if thats the case.I know the Swans want to keep him but they should not be held to ransom.
