But I do agree with you in the sense that Goodes' confidence seems a lot more fragile than Kirk's. And his poor form at the start of both post-Brownlow years (he was ordinary in 2004 even before his knee injuries set in) suggest that he might have been trying too hard to live up to his previous season rather than just doing the role he was given.
