    Benny you are an idiot

Coach John Worsfold reportedly berated the players for undisciplined and indulgent off-field excesses following their semi-final loss to Collingwood at Subiaco last month, claiming they had spoiled a once-in-a-lifetime chance of successive premiership flags.

He slammed them for partying too hard and left no doubt he believed some of them had dulled their potential with illicit drugs, before accusing Cousins of ripping apart the fabric of the club.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Come-on Sanecow give me a break.
He deserve as much sympathy as Brittney or Lindsay. They are awash with money at their young age and how are they spending it? I don't feel sorry for him now at all and I'm mad at WCE administration to allow that to happen. Yes, I will admit that I feel some satisfaction in it as well, not because I don't like Benny, but because some people are getting away with anything just because they are rich and famous.

It reflects very poorly on a person when they celebrate the news another person's life is falling apart, just two weeks after one of their best friends died.

                    I don't think anyones celebrating.

I agree with the sentiment that Annie expressed regarding his return to football. I thought it at the time as did most.

How long does it take to take the first steps towards rehabilitation? Whose choice was it?

True it isnt nice to see someone circum to the depths of drug problems, the thing is that Cousins wasn't doing it tough. He has money to burn - unlike your normal drug addict, the hedonistic lifestyle, he has it all.(unlike your normal drug addict) He was given the opportunity to rehabilitate, at great expense (and not all his own either) and now yesterdays events have unfolded.

In the begining I felt a bit sorry for him - my theory at the time was that maybe the pressure of trying to be all things to all people just took its toll, but as time went on - he went to the fancy rehab came back with a buffed bod and great tan, WestCoast were making all the noises about what he had to do - yet still treated him like a god, the feral supporters gave him a second chance - then there were those who of course were in denial and didnt think he had done anything wrong in the first place - His 3 strikes have been reached.

Elite sports people of all codes are treated like gods and are indulged by the people around them like there is no tomorrow. and they have far too much free time on their hands.

Maybe Sally Carey was right when all the hoo har came out about Wayne doing the biz with Stephens wife.
She yelled at Careys then manager Ricky Nixon and said "I blame you, I blame me, I blame the club and I blame the family - we have never said "no" to him, we indulged him far too much he thinks he can do what ever he likes simply because he is Wayne Carey"

I know this sounds very old fashioned, but it really wasnt all that long ago when footballers actually held down day jobs as well as playing seniors footy, they didnt have time to get into trouble.

He was and still is a great footballer and its all very sad - but at the end of the day - he has no one to blame but himself.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

The @@@@ing guy is a menace. I can't believe he is receiving sympathy of any kind. He has had ample warning, assistance and advice to get over his problem. He has been charged with possession of a prohibited substance and he was most likely (due to his refusal to undertake a blood test and swab) under the influence of substances while driving. The @@@@wit is a train wreck waiting to happen, and is a matter of time before he kills an innocent person going about their daily business. I couldn't give a flying @@@@ that he can kick a pigskin around - he is a reckless and dangerous fool. I would assume that he was under investigation over a much bigger problem than he has been charged for, hence the big squad that was ready to pounce. As for comments regarding his best mate Mainwaring, there is a possibility that he is under invetigation for that as well. Feel sorry for him? Na, he's a @@@@ing parasite.

There are too many of you people who are just like the criminal supporters - ready to forgive him his "little indescretions" - as long as he plays good footy.

Frankly, I don't wish to watch people like Cousins play. He's bringing the game into disrepute. He's taking his (ex-)club down with him.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Cousins is a complete tool. However, how people can celebrate this is beyond me - absolutely pathetic!
