Andrew Ireland just confirmed it was a mistake that Jesse White made going on and he was the 19th man

Well if thats the case then the melbourne afternoon news dont know what their talking about. They said that jolly was the 19th man on the ground.Wrong, Jessie White was the 19th man and had no hand in the goal.
The Swans have stated that they called Jolly off because when they realised they had an extra man on the field he was closest to the interchange bench.
Even though the interchange thru the game was Jolly off/White on, I think with less than 90 secs on the clock it is no given that Jolly was meant to come off, he was hardly being rested at that stage. Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Gotta be happy with that. Could of been worse.
Terry Wallace was right today ( even though hes a Knob ) if we were to get away with this lightly , it would of opened a pandoras box down the track.
Thought North handled it well though, especially Dean Laidley.Est 1874

Expensive draw. You'd think with 19 blokes we might have actually won.
It's also a tie so far between AFL and Swans this year.
Two wins apiece.
AFL 2 (B. Hall, 19 men)
Swans 2 (tanking, Goodes)The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

What a load of crap (except the 'he's a Knob' part)
What pandora's box?
Would Wallace have us believe that somewhere down the track a coach will INTENTIONALLY send on a 19th man, risking the whole score being erased if an on-field challenge eventuates, just because the precedent has been set and Sydney got away lightly (even though they haven't in the end).
Even if Sydney got a slap on the wrist and got sent to the corner until lunchtime, it is just ridiculous to suggest any side would use it as a deliberate tactic considering the consequences if they get caught out.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
