The maths part of it is fine..well done to those involved and all that...it is the person and the baggage he brings with him and I don't just mean the car stuff tha makes me cringe......yobbo...bogan..tryhard...Collingwood without Schauble class.Makes Williams look like a cultural conniseur.
Maybe I'm a snob.I hope we have some class

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
The currency of the term has been somewhat devalued since Mc Avenny started using it. However more than happy to have launched into the footy venacular. For the record it means "a first reciever defender playing between full-back and centre half back who determines the teams attacking option by choice of ball distribution"

You people have too many preconceptions about players.
That deal is a good deal for Sydney.
He will play straight away, has good pace, a reasonable level of skills and can play midfield.

LOL....what planet have you been living on these past few years...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
Anyway, it wont be long before the idiots in the recruitment department will be seeing him off on the team bus to Canberra... I'm still flabbergasted, actually Straughny (roosie-speak is taking over everywhere) would have been a better pick up...

Jeepers give the guy a chance.
Everybody was writing Mattner off this time last year, and he turned out to be a very handy player.
Rip into him after 10 games of showing nothing, not hours after being recruited.
As others have pointed out, we got him for virtually nothing. It's worth a punt. I doubt we'll be getting too many other ready made players in the next 1hr 15 mins.
Not a bad deal. Shaw is much maligned, but really, he is NOT all that bad. He is quick and strong, and his disposal efficiency is about 72%. Not fantastic, but hardly horrible. He beats Bevan, O'Loughlin, Kirk, Jack, GOODES, Buchanan, Moore and O'Keefe, to name just a few. Oh, Davis as well. He might be 28, but look what we gave up for him! He'll be a fringe player at Sydney. I have little doubt he'll be the first dropped if DOK or Meredith or Laidlaw, etc are pushing for selection. But he will be a useful depth player that we have secured for very little.
Of course, it might also be a cunning Roosie ploy to fill the team with even more duds than we have at present ( not mentioning any names, but YOU know who you are), so we can slip really far down the ladder to get a top 10 draft pick or two in a few years' time.
