See you later Nic its been good
Without Davis we wouldnt have a flag he did a fantastic job and will be remembered forever for what you have done.
Its a real shame that you couldnt quite pull it together enough to stay on the list.
I dont care how much Playfair tackles and chases inside 50 or how hard he trains he will never ever be as good as Davis.
Its a shame to see him goComment

Paul Bevan's mark in the dying seconds against Carlton (?) late in the season when he went back with the flight and marked strongly flying backwards was one of the best marks you'll see.Grandson of South Melbourne legend Keith Schaefer.Comment

His commitment loyalty, ethics has been somewhat insignificant in 2008.
2008 now and the boys time looks like its finished though with the Swans.Est 1874

What do you do whenever the ball's in the air - shut your eyes so you miss seeing the mark?
There have been plenty of contested marks taken by Swans players. We wouldn't have won the premiership in 2005 without Nick Davis kicking four goals in a quarter in a semi final against the Cats. One of those was a set shot after a contested mark against two Cats. Kirk nearly took mark of the year in the same season. It's not hard to find other examples.

Where is Paul Roos, Andrew Ireland etc? Brett Kirk? FFS even Ben Mathews got a farewell press conference.
Why this disgraceful treatment? Even his detractors - Connolly included - must admit that Davis is a favourite amongst Swans members and supporters, the favourite son even, yet no one at the club is big enough to explain this decision to the supporters, let alone acknowledging it on the website.
I'm sad to say the class shown by Nick Davis has not been replicated by the Sydney Swans."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

we havent publicly announced all our delistings yet I dont believe- Im guessing that will be when we will hear that sort of thing. I also would be very disappointed in the club should it be the case that nothing is heard."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Here we are 4 days later and there is still no official confirmation from the club via its website or anywhere in the media. There is no public acknowledgment of Davis' contribution to the club and its only premiership in 75 years from anyone associated with the Swans. Roos couldn't bring himself to acknowledge Davis' role after the semi final in 2005 and it looks like no one will do it now either.
