It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

...but we didn't get the 2nd rounder.
Fair enough things did change with Jolly and his family's situation, but to strictly nominate just 1 Melbourne club only after being so desperate to move back home doesn't sit right with me.
Him and his manager certainly made things more difficult for all parties.
Jolly has put us over a barrel. Anyone other than our precious little footballers would have to fulfil their contractual obligations.
To cast negative aspersions on the intelligence of other posters because they disagree with your point of view is very, very ordinary.
Jolly has shown he is disloyal and we, as fans, owe him nothing. The Swans made him and paid him handsomely for his efforts and he has shown us no respect.
And while I'm on a roll, I don't buy the need to move back home for "family" reasons, plenty of families (my own included) have had to raise their family either away from their own parents and siblings or with a partner away for significant periods of time, on a lot less money than Jolly is on. We accept it, cope with it and get on with it!
I never blamed Jolly for 06, the hand injury he sustained a few days prior would have ruled him out of any other game.Comment

Roosy might as well leave the Swans now.
Can't believe that we have traded Jolly and Buchanan to only receive a player like Seaby. Bring Michael Voss to the club, at least he knows how to recruit.
We won't be taking any part in the last day and a half as Roosy is apparently on a plane home to Sydney.
Not happy at ALL.Comment

We have been totally screwed in this deal. Pick 14 is borderline 2nd round. Likewise pick 46 is almost 4th round.
People who think that Pick 14 in a shallow draft will bring us a gun midfielder are kidding themselves. It will be pure luck.
The one positive is that Jolly as a person has gone. If he doesn't want to be here, piss off and play for the ferals.Comment

Honestly this whole "disloyal" stuff gives me the irrits. A club sacks a player when they aren't happy with their performance. The club bumps up prices and packages outrageously. People change jobs all the time - are all of these organisations or indivdiuals disloyal ?
It is purely and simply a business and it is a contract that exists between the player and club - the same as any other employment relationship. it is not serfdom.
I am a little disappointed that the club couldn't manage to negotiate a little better and somewhat disappointed with the collingwood or stuff you approach.
But I am happy that we are going to have a core group of 18-25 yo who are hopefully all ambitious because that implies we should be going somewhere in 2-3 years.Comment

This is complete and utter bull@@@@.
Thanks for nothing Jolly...just as I was starting to forgive you for the 06 debacle you go and screw the club that gave you a lifeline from the hell hole that is the Melbourne footy club.
As for the club(nee Roos) rolling over meekly and accepting pick 14 and pick 46 for a
one the premium ruckman in the comp...shame on you...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Clearly, this board has been taken over by Collingwood fans. The vile words used to describe Darren Jolly and his family, WHOM NONE OF YOU KNOW is embarrassing at best, utterly disgraceful at worst. I do happen to know Darren just a bit and none of these sentiments are in any way shape or form warranted. This vile mob mentality is disgusting. Some of you people would speak with more respect about a lame dog.Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.Comment
