Leave Ed alone. He may run round and round in circles doing not much at all but at least when he gets the ball he kicks it forwards. A player whose first thought is to kick the ball backwards, or second kick it sideways or third hold on to it until every player up the ground is manned up is the one that drives me crazy.Comment

Very very tough but here I go....
FB: Mattner C.Bolton Grundy
HB: Smith LRT Shaw
Think that back line is a lock. Four players who can play tall, one small forward tagger and the other a runner
C: Kennedy Kirk Kennelly
KKKs Need leg speed on the wings; Kennedy gets a go first up and Kennelly is relieved of his defensive duties so he can run all day
HF: J.Bolton Goodes Jetta
Goodes is the lead up player. Bolton applies the defensive pressure and Jetta gives us the spark
FF: White Bradshaw Jack
White and Bradshaw are locks (assuming he is in) and Jack will savour his freedom up forward
RUCKS: Mumford McVeigh ROK
Again, a lock...
BENCH:
Seaby
Extra ruck
Bird
Extra inside mid
McGlynn
Tagger
Vezpremi/ Hannerbery
Who knows???
UNLUCKY

Some find it frustrating that he continually gets picked, but Bevan himself is not frustrating.
He is just about the most predictable player in the squad in so much as you know he will always give 100%, will occasionally get shown up totally by gun forwards such as Steve Johnson, but is just as likely to back into a pack and totally put his body on the line for the good of the team.
Barlow on the other hand appears to jog around at half pace and almost appear disinterested, ala Dale Lewis.
I'm open to the Cheese, I remember defending him vigorously for a game late in the season at Homebush where he tried his butt off, very un-Barlow like, but things just didn't happen.
Agree with others though, he is far from a walk up start for Rd 1. He brains them in pre-season running events every year, his dominance on the track is nothing new.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

I think it is only Barlow's height keeping him in the team atm. At 196cm and 99kg he should be crashing into and through packs, not trying to dance around them,"Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

Agree with the rest though. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Looks good except ...
I would pull out Rohan (would be very lucky to play seniors this year) and put in any of your emergencies instead."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

Lack of depth in the forward line, was the concern for me, not sure about others, but that's what I thought anyway.Comment
