Had to chuckle at the thought of paying JK all that dough to say nice things to the midfield.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

An article about how our new recruits are going...

Concerning there isn't anything on Seaby.
Seaby (and Bradshwaw) is the rather striking absentee. May become the best paid player in the Canberra league.

I want to hear that Seaby can match it with Mummy, that eski played dashingly off a wing, that Currie had sticky mits at FF, that Kennedy really is a loss for Hawthorn, that TDL and Ves will create havoc as leading/crumbing forwards, that Sumner really is as good as Stewie says ........ chuck a sickie if necessary!

                Can't make it.

Would of been awesome getting some shots of a full intra club match.

Those thinking about going along might want to be aware that there is a ODI at the SCG on Friday afternoon / evening. That means that full vehicle access to Driver Avenue might not be available, including the metred parking spots outside the SCG, even at 9am (not entirely sure when they shut this off for a game starting at 2pm).

It also means that EQ will be charging their rip-off "event parking rates" for the whole day. ($20, unless you spend at least $10 somewhere at an EQ outlet and get your parking ticket validated.) When events start later (eg late afternoon Sydney United kick-offs or evening Swans games) these rates don't usually start until after 1pm. But if the cricket gets going at 2pm, I suspect they will be charging these rates all day.

Something to bear in mind for anyone planning to drive to the SCG in the morning.

Anybody there know who "Joey" is? Number 10, reds, not Currie (who is also in 10 for the reds). Biggish bloke, great kick, playing well.

Also, Johnston looks like he's about to join the game after a half on the bike.

I'm not there but going by the nickname I'd guess it might be Kennedy?
