If it's purely someone in to cover Smith I'd like to see Rohan come in, if they're going to rejiggywig then I wouldn't mind seeing TDL back in to get a look at how he goes in the same forward line as White.

Hey, I've been on the Reid bandwagon since last week!. The kid certainly has footy bloodlines. I assume he's going to play up back, which gives us a tallish defence. Reg and Ted get Watts and Jurrah and Reid gets Cale Morton(?).

That is not the impression I get. Early in the year I found his kicks to be quite sublime, always well weighted and to the advantage of a teammate.

His kicks towards the big white sticks, well that has been well documented.

As for Vez, I know I've gone on about it before but I really feel like we've @@@@@@ up with another first rounder. If we let him go it'll be an embarrassment for our recruiters imo, regardless of how he performs at his next club.

For Merredith and Smith they held them back until we had two young men who can start and hold their position as, well, men not kids. Yet they played Hanners as a school kid, because he was ready. I do not know what is going on with Vez, we all like him, but there will be a reason. And a B good one.

Hope Reid gets the nod and Rhys stays up forward. I'm surprised to see Jesse on the bench, i thought he was ok last week although i suppose they probably wont line up anything like the selected team.

Yep, you dont hold back what seems like a natural talent just because he is a bit cocky (or whatever other comparison people are trying to make to Nick Davis). The coaches obviously think he has talent otherwise they would nt have played him in his first season but you cant play someone who either isnt fit enough , is injured or doesnt run hard enough just because they have talent. There are many skilled and talented footballers around but to make it at the highest level you have to have 100 % application and fitness and maybe vez just doesnt have this at this time. When Davis was at his best in 2005 he did have these things and so the talent rose to the top BUT when he lost the 100% dedication to fitness and application his talents were wasted because he couldnt contribute at the required level.

As stated by somebody in last weeks thread, the extended bench is named in alphabetical order. They have just taken the last 3 names and shoved them in as the emergencies, (even though whoever compiled the 'alphabetical' list this week should note that 'e' comes before 'o').
