Well, if we've sold about 33,000 tickets so far - if that's what the pax number means - it does bode well for a healthy crowd on Sunday. We'll have to see how many tickets get sold tomorrow and Friday, then add to that ANZ Stadium members and their guests, plus casual sales on the day. Fingers crossed the sales keep coming.

Read recently that the deal to host AFL finals in Sydney at Homebush is between the AFL and ANZ Stadium. So it would appear to be beyond the control of the Swans.

That is correct, finals are run by the AFL and have nothing to do with us.

Other than the club turning up and playing.

Anybody else seen or heard it?

          in Sydney, that is.
Yeah saw the ad on Channel 10 last night. It's on the Swans website too:

Oh and the weather forecast has been updated for Sunday to sunny. Gee it would be great to see a massive crowd on a sunny afternoon at ANZ. Hope the PAX numbers are correct as we seem to be doing well in ticket sales.

Great news about the weather forecast! I can get a little surly when sitting in the rain. This releases one bit of dread from my otherwise-anticipatory mood. Now if only the commute to/from ANZ magically shortens and simplifies (whinge whinge whinge) ...

Just bought four tix for Sunday night. Section 118, row 28, $35. Great seats, great price. Last ticket was pax 33175.
Still not quite right. If you wait till then you'll miss all the excitement.

Bay 118 is behind our Cheer Squad. That, and the equivalent bay the other end, are the only seats sold at that price

Thats what I was thinking, how do we know that is what it means with the number of tickets sold?

Hey ... the Bluebags have never played at Stadium Australia (or Telstra or ANZ) have they?

I think we've definately got an advantage there.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

In 2002 on the 27th July we won 92-69. Brownlow votes - 3:Paul Williams (SY) 2:Adam Goodes (SY) 1:Tadhg Kennelly (SY)
In 2003 on the 29th March we pumped them 147-72. Brownlow votes - 3:Paul Williams (SY) 2:Adam Goodes (SY) 1:Adam Schneider (SY) - Schneids was 18 and it was his debut. Not bad. Brett Ratten was in the Carlton side and Fev at the age of 22 booted 2 goals 5. It was also Jarrad Waite's debut.

Long time ago. It's definitely an advantage.

                            * Both those games were at night (as most have been).

OK, my excuse is that I was home sick with a nasty cold and suffering mild dilerium

Yours may be far enough back to be undercover and therefore not the budget section. At least you wont get sunburnt for your extra $30 each
