Why not? That doesn't make a great deal of sense.

Ok so we are playing at ANZ - not ideal, but we have to live with it. We aren't the only team to lose home ground advantage in this instance either - Geelong aren't playing at Kardinia Park and they have won gazillions of games there in recent times - sure the MCG is like their second home (and they seem quite at home there too), so perhaps we should treat ANZ likewise despite it all. Until the new stands at the SCG are done - I doubt a final will played there anytime soon (I'd like to proven wrong though!!!) Lets embrace the white elephant at Homebush, it deserves to be loved too!!!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

A few nice points there Wardy.

I think our recent 'poor record' at ANZ is overstated. You could make a fair case to say if we'd played Geelong, Collingwood and the Aints at the SCG over the past 2 seasons instead of ANZ, we may very well have the same amount of wins against them..ie. zero.

I'd suggest you and your partner don't love your beloved swans as much as u think you do if you'd refuse to watch them in a final because you don't like the venue....wtf is that all about?

i'm not judgmental about others in that way - i don't like ANZ and i would certainly prefer not to go. but this team has played so well this year that i feel it really is incumbent upon me to go - so the family and i are coming up for the weekend and GO BLOODS !!!!

                  That's my point MH.

Not many of us like the venue, but the wish to witness our boys play in a final surely must be stronger than 'I don't like ANZ, there is no way in hell I'll be watching them play a final at that joint'.

Its like going to the Doctors - no one really likes going to them, but there are times when you know that you just have to.

Yeah, I've been grumbling all along about dirtyrottenrabbafrazzapoopyheaded ANZ and all, but 9am Monday morning I was pecking away furiously at my computer keyboard stalking tickets. Hopefully we can remedy the situation before 2016, and play all at SCG, &c &c, but until then, I'll wend my way westward. Sullenly, perhaps, at times (until and not after first bounce of course), but wending nonetheless.

I hate Stadium Australia with an absolute passion but there is no way in hell I would miss this game.

I'll be there but not expecting a big crowd.

You need randoms to make big numbers at ANZ and randoms don't do Sunday afternoons.

that is a point - but there are those of us who's Dads are no longer with us - so we will have a toast in their honour and watch the footy on a very special day - I know my dad would have loved it! (and my Dad was a one eyed Blues man!!!)

My Dad is still with us, but he knows there isn't a snowflakes chance in hell that I'll be missing the footy to visit him.......and he wouldn't want it any other way, bless him.

yeah - my Dad would have understood too - he loved his footy and I was the only one in my family who actually liked footy - he thought it would have been my brother - but instead it was me - his youngest daughter!
