No Hate for Vez... He just didn't do anything for us. Sometimes a change is required to spark something. And the change we've made is to unload someone who was doing nothing for us. Can't see that as a loss in any way, shape, or form

Liked him as a kid a few years ago. Can play few roles - tall, mobile. Pleased to do the deal.
Will play HB, wing even. Can play on different sized players, and will add flexibility to the team. Good below his knees.
We look at the age bracket, we don't have a lot of players in this age bracket, just a few. No real hard policy on age brackets though.
He can play straight away, we've seen blokes like him a bit older come in and make an impact.

on Sherman
spoken to Brisbane, we really rate Justin, we understand his first preference is Melbourne but there is still water to go under the bridge yet.
A lot of speed came in last year which was important, but never can have too much speed.

Longmire sounds like a careful shopper.
It is by now obvious that one of the keys to premiership success is versatile personnel. Collingwood is the outstanding example, we have been building it into our team, and Everitt gives us versatility in spades.

The recruiting of everitt is definately in view that c.bolton is not long away from retirement IMO. I think we have come out the better in this deal, vezpremi is talented but we already have similar sorts of players and apart from turning it on for a few games late in 08, he really has not set the world on fire since.

Who will he replace in the 22 to play HB or wing? I just can't get excited about this trade and very disappointed to see Vesz go. Another first round pick failing to pay off for the club... far and away our weakest area re recruiting.

We have and will not be the only club whose first round picks have failed to pay off.

I know it won?t happen, but I would absolutely love it if we could go after Mitch Clark. He would be a great forward to build a side around.

Sounds like the Bulldogs are pretty confident they have the deal sewn up.

Hope not - Sherman would be another good addition IMO. Always liked him at the Lions.

That's a bit harsh on Veszpremi, wasn't really given a chance in 2010 to impress.

Yes he was - he played in the Reserves and often failed to impress there.
