After getting dropped for the semi you could kind of guess Jesse's name would come up in trade week, possibly with him wanting to go elsewhere.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
If every player had a sook and wanted to move club after they got dropped for a game, there would be an awful lot of players moving each season.Comment

I really hope he doesn't go. A proper season playing back-up to, while learning from, Bradshaw could do him a world of good.Comment

Bevan's manager Paul Connors was on radio saying Bevan was unhappy at getting dropped for the final and would be okay with going to a Melbourne based club.Comment

I agree, but it seems a pretty common thing when a young player that has played a chunk of games through the year to get the team into the finals is dropped for a veteran.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Why on earth do we need O'halpin?
The flip side of our obsession with recycling players is there are less opportunities for our own young players. Next year should be about getting senior games into Reid and Johnston (lest depriving them of opportunities as with Veszpremi this year).
Also when Seaby and LRT return to full fitness suddenly we have a surplus of talls."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Sherman's manager Pickering saying he thinks Sherman worth about late 20s - early 30s pick. He thinks Bulldogs compo pick (about 29 according to him) would be enough.Comment

I wouldn't mind Libba Jnr; apparently he is a better player than his father and isn't troubled by white line fever.....
The Swans mob have never been anything but straight up when it comes to trades etc, it has put them in good stead with other clubs, so don't see them changing their styles now. If they want to swap Ves for Everett ok by me.
RIGHT. Well that's Libba off the list.....going to the dogssss.Last edited by Primmy; 5 October 2010, 12:07 PM.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

He wasn't saying both would fetch pick 11. However, they are both high draft picks, they've both shown tremendous talent but only in flashes, and their careers have followed very similar patterns so far. They are very comparable.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

The implication to me was that Patty should fetch a first rounder because he was a first rounder himself. I don't think I have misconstrued the meaning of his post.Comment
