    16. Rohan - Has put on some muscle. Geeze, his hands were good. A couple of times he was running full pace at the ball and just picked it up off the ground without breaking stride. Also had some brilliant quick pick-ups and dish-offs. Didn't see much of his speed with ball in hand, but that was OK. Looked very good, could/should play all season.
In a few years when this kid has a permanent position in the side and not floating around we'll all be singing his praises. Plenty of time ahead. In the words of Bruce, the kid has something 'special'. It's like finding a nice bottle of red wine and knowing if you just be patient and wait a couple of years, you're going to reap the rewards. Go the Rooster! (Still like him up forward though )

Can't wait for '11 and beyond!

      Thanks Ugg,

That's what I do!! It's a little weird to some, but it works! He says he's the heaviest he's ever been but feels strong and comfortable running at that weight...and by God you could see he was carrying it well as he did his THIRTY laps!!

A lot of the lads have responded very well to my strength stuff...the question now is can it translate into less shoulder injuries, greater tackling ability, more impact resilience and some good bumps on the opposition? I think it can, but I'm interested to hear the views from you guys now you have seen them this morning.

30 laps, whats that about 13 km's? His knee is well and truly recovering if he can run that distance without problems.

Sumner arrived partway through the warmup with a backpack and complete in training gear. However he proceeded to stand in the shade for most of th game and didn't run laps like some of the other none playing players. I can only speculate he must have some sort of injury (foot?) that meant he couldn't even run

Well you have all said it and I can add little. EXCEPT there were a number of Academy players, including the bright redheaded bloke and a little pocket rocket with 22 on his back. Smaller than Benny but of the same ilk. Can we keep him?

Eye Candy alert. Smiffy. .... I have nothing left to say. Peb looks as hard as rocks. Sammy is couger alert material.......I mean its not decent a kid of his age should look like that.....Mumf is in his own class. Harem has put on definition in the weeks since I mentioned his running last time.

It was worth the effort to get there. Especially watching Lew toss I think it was Gary over the sideline.

Hilarous to see little Razer Ray umping, he is very little, and the other umps who were probably locals were not much bigger. Much more useful than just having coaches doing the job.

Jetts may think he has strengthened his matchsticks, and put on 6kg but ...........more inclined to pass by foot and more accurately.

Henry was there, so was Crouchy, the two Stueys, and the big boss wore red while the others wore yellow.

Noone appears to have limped off the ground.

Gary Rohan is going to be in a league of his own; he has grown from a kid into a bloke in a short period of time, he is so quick off the mark it is scary, he plays an adult game.

Toppies stood out as being one plane and then came the rest. But to give them credit they all worked their butts off.

I think I am going to like Insey.

They call Eugene Kruger "Eugene". With a name like that why find another one.

Some of them changed sides and they swapped jumpers. Hot sweaty wet smelly used soggy jumpers......ick.

Nipper is now way too tall and big for his name.

Macca is a great voice in the play. He seems to be able to read it well in advance and give instant direction.

As someone else said, Curry ...... well, umm, err......sigh.

If you are going to play seniors this year, you are going to have to work your arses off to get there, and the same if you want to stay there, no matter who they are.

I hope none of the players get sick after this game today - seems like there were a few people watching from the sidelines with 'mystery illnesses' that rendered them unable to go to work today.....

Footy was just fine aaarrr. Actually it was pretty satisfying. Not much in the way of clangers. Lots and lots of running and kicking to placement. Some tackling but not asmuch as you expected in Roosy's game plan, so it will be interesting to see how Horse differs from him. Lots of competitive marking. Lots and lots of running. Lots. Quick too. NicMal practicing his tracers. Its an art.
