It's insane how bad our home record is this season compared to previous years when the SCG was like a fortress. That's more just an observation than a critique per say. All I know is if the delayed telecast is anything to go by I'm switching it off at half-time since it's been far too cringeworthy to watch. The only one that seems to be giving his all is Hanners.

Too many watcHing. If goodes or Bolton don't get it no-one else seems unable to. And goodes is having one of those games where nothing goes right and I don't think I've heard Boltons name at all. those half back flankers have all been quiet -but again that's partly because our forward line has ben anonymous -reid has to get involved as has everitt

Any chance of a comeback has now gone. 6 goals behind is too much especially the way we are playing.

I reckon we've even been beaten in the ruck today. I am so disappointed with this result. But it reflects where we are I reckon. Playing against the better teams we are made to look very ordinary. I reckon we are missing Rohan and jack amazingly. 7 goals 6 to 2-4. It could have been a really awful lead. We really need the coaches to look at how we are going to kick winning scores against the better teams.

I am actually beginning to dread the Carlton game down here. I am even worried about the north game.

I think our main aim would be to minimise the damage and not let it blow out past what it already is since our % is already low enough.

I am not sure about this. But we are certainly not a top four team. We might manage somewhere between 6 and 10 but this will rely on us winning against those who are worse than us on the ladder and jagging a couple of wins elsewhere. I do think we have overrated our list this year. But hawthorn are really one of the best four sides. But we played a hawthorn side with a lot of missing players and really have not been competitive. I reckon we are in the mix with Essendon, west coast, Richmond, Fremantle for the last two sides in the eight.

The issue for the Swans is that we have recruited talent ahead of skill and it is really biting us now. we would not have one single player in the top 50 for skills in tha afl...maybe not one in a 100. We cannot gather a loose ball or receive a handball, deliver by foot or mark at the level of any other team on the top 12 or so. Goodes, Jack, Bolton, Kennedy, Hannebery, O'Keefe, McGlynn have heaps of talent but nowhere near the consistent, reliable skill level of Rioli, Suckling etc

This really is a drubbing now. Unless the midfield starts showing something we might lose by 100 in this game. We need to concentrate on putting something together for the last quarter or this will devastate our percentage

But here's the thing. Our skills are such that no-one really wants to watch a side that can't hit a target repeatedly and fumbles over and over and over and over. We win by strangling others. We couldn't manage tqhat for four quarters it is match.

The was a toast thread this week re our game style of high contestedpossesson and low total number of possessions. That reflects I reckon our inability to get uncontested possessions because we can't get separation from our opponents. We are actually struggling to anything with the ball because we are not showing a forward line. Mcglynn is the only one who regularly looks like scoring a goal for us.

The % we gained last week is now an aberration.....so much for that AFL program of equality via the draft and salary cap...the whole bloody thing has been engineered to the Melbourne sides this last couple of years,...

Eski on one leg and three bung knees seems to be doing better than half the team. The Bloods ethos must have left with Kirky.

only seen half a game so far, swans should refuse to play at this time with c7 telecasting why dont they show the Vic game on delay at least the supporters can go to the game this is "st" more ads than play. Hate C7, it used to be alright years ago. Our backline to half time is terrible again, Grundy and Shaw the first 3 goals given, Mattner is weak and a few need a reserve game or 2. Why Seaby isnt playing i dont know, LRT is not a back up ruckman. nor is he a fwd as Bruce seems to be calling for the marks like last week, that will only happen irregularly. Sound like we a miles behind in the 2nd half. I blame the selectors as much as anything. Goodes trying to do too mucg his disposal is terrible he wasnt like that in other years. ooks like we will have to put up with a "st" hopuse 2nd half.

a rare delayed game here cos of supercars, but they put extra ads in and we play rubbish. Only up to half time but im keeping an eye on real score.

Looks its a terrible effort and its annoying to lose at the scg again (barring a miracle) but hawks are a quality side and its one game, overall we have had a pretty good start to the year and we are going to have some bad weeks with the injuries and youth we have so i wont get too down. Just frustrated by the coverage myself, its delayed and crap.
Theres not much left to say
