Facebook: Swans coach John Longmire has just revealed that Matt Spangher will make his first senior appearance for the Swans against Gold Coast on Saturday night. Spangher played 26 games with West Coast and was a fourth round selection in last year's AFL Draft. Longmire also said TDL was right in the mix if he gets through this morning's training session. The full team will be announced on www.sydneyswans.com.au at 5pm.

Very interested to see Spangher play. Can he be another Swans success story? I must say I had my doubts when we drafted him but I've only heard good things about him since he's been playing...

I suppose it'll be Spangher out of the square, Reid at CHF, Jesse forward and 2nd ruck and (please, for the love of god) Goodes in the middle.

Dunno what to think if TDL can't get a game in our forward line though. Who knows what he thinks of all this.

Mattner and Rhyce are playing career best footy this year IMO. Even better than their respective podium finishing seasons in the Skilton. I'd be dropping Tadhg before them. Having said that, I wouldn't be dropping Tadhg either...not yet anyway.

Dunno what to think if TDL can't get a game in our forward line though. Who knows what he thinks of all this.

Hmm something isnt adding up,what is it with TDL and mystery illness and or injury on a thursday when in line for senior selection.

Could it just be a club line to stop all the we want TDL talk for a week?

Very happy with the proposed changes. Can't play Seaby as a 2nd ruckman and looking forward to seeing Spangher.

Well it certainly hasnt worked when tried before.There has been talk around for a while that Seaby in particular doesnt like being second fiddle to Mummy in a game.Not that theres an malice between them just that he prefers the no1 mantle to himself.
