Jesse did his trade value no damage at all today (actually I'm in the keep and play Jesse camp).

He showed 2 weeks ago that maybe he's starting to get what he needs to do. Yes the conversion was unusually poor for him but he looked like an AFL footballer today which was the most encouraging part.

I still don't rate him, but hope for our team's sake he becomes a good player and a mainstay. His size is much needed.

TDL was sitting next to me today and was fairly stoney face when JW was going for goal haha Must be a strange thing for boys on the fringe to secretly want injuries or bad form so they get another chance!! To TDLs credit, he did get into the game in last quarter and had a few good laughs at fans getting angry about the inaccuarcy, although he did look like a big sook in his plastic poncho!

Looked better today than he has for a while, but I'm not sure that says much. I saw a lot of him today; he often starts to make a lead but then just seems to turn his back on the play and go running off randomly. It's as though he hasn't much clue how to follow the play. No good when he goes back to defend either, consistently 5 metres off his man. And he still needs to make more of his size.

That said he contested and marked a lot better today and kicked 1.2, so marks for effort.

Jesse offers much more than LRT as forward/back up ruck. I thought he played pretty well today, probably contributed more than Reid and Spangher did, although Spangher had a cracker 4th quarter.

He didn't star, he didn't dominate, but he did contest and lead and did all the things he just hasn't been doing in his previous visits to the seniors. Was good to see.

Best performance he has put in all year. I hope he gets another go next week on his efforts today - certainly a vast improvement on what I expected to see from him and have seen from him this year.

I thought he played well today, he actually seemed relatively aggressive out there. He's a good kick for goal, any other day he would have kicked 2 or 3.

He seems very popular with his teammates.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I was very impressed with the performance of Jesse today. Just hoping he can back it up next week. Based on today's performance i'd say he deserves to stay in the team next week.

Jessie was impressive. Took some heat off Reid.

                      Keep the man at FF.

Agree Captain. Jesse and Spang rotating through there definitely gave Reid some breathing space.
Jesse was pretty good today I thought but we need a forward who can nail some goals!

Very pleasantly surprised and impressed with White's game today. I'm still not 100% convinced he has what it takes to be a truly effective AFL FF, but he went some way to restoring some faith in him. Quietly hoping he can finally click into gear. Maybe 2 or 3 against Geelong and build from there?
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

With the sub rule (or at least almost all clubs' tactical response to it), we need someone who can compete in the ruck for about 30% of the game and present a legitimate forward target for most of the rest of it. Jesse White, in theory, fits that bill so perfectly (much better than LRT who will never be anything but a defender who can pinch-hit in ruck and play forward in an emergency), that I really hope he can get back up there.

Thought Jesse White had a solid game, deserving a place next week. For those negative supporters who STILL thinks he is hopeless, I have got a shock for: he's NOT going to be the next Tony Lockett.
Nevertheless I will be more than happy if he continues to play for the rest of season the way he played
                                against the Saints.
