Great compilation, ABM - awesome. When I watch that clip I have two thoughts: 1, How on earth are we going to cope when he retires? and 2, Imagine how much better he would be if he had a left foot!

I think you have to give LRT some credit , he has more than adequately played the "Leigh Brown" role in a team that doesnt have the equivalent of a cloke and dawes in the forward line. Brown isnt the second forward at collingwood , hes the third. We seem to expecting him to capably play ruck and hold down a key forward position. Thats unfair in my opinion and not he role that the backup ruckman is required to play in the well structured teams.

To LRTs credit he has improved every week he plays up their and seems to be kicking around 2 goals a game (Im sure someone who knows the stats better will be able to give his average since when he has held down this role). As I have stated in previous threads , 2 goals a game is a better average than Dawes and i imagine would be better than Browns.

The problem is that many here expect him to hold down a ruck / key position role and to be as adequate at both as someone who plays those roles all the time.

I am with you completely. I think he has accepted the challenge of a new role admirably and played it well. I get the impression he is enjoying being quite aggressive at the contest, maybe more so than he generally is in defence. I guess if you give away a free kick in the forward half of the ground through too much aggression, the cost isn't as immediate or obvious as if you do it at full back.
