Absolutely devastated if Johnstone leaves us.

The Johnston trade looks like a furphy. All that's been reported is that he went to Adelaide, supposedly for a medical. If it were even a possibility the Adelaide media would be all over it.
This is all the chief footy writer at the Advertiser had to say:
They still have Tony Armstrong to unload but the midfielder-defender has little value. Sydney will not be adding much to Adelaide's portfolio if Armstrong gets his wish to be a Swan.

I have more faith in Emma Quayle than Michelangelo Rucci.Comment

Edit: May shed some light on Adelaide's interest in LJ, too.Last edited by stellation; 15 October 2011, 11:39 AM.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I cannot believe we would be stupid enough to trade Johnston for a guy Adelaide were looking to delist two months ago. Unbelievable, potential key forwards are impossible to find, that is just insanity. We do not have a key forward who has kicked more than 20 goals a year yet.
Madness. Appreciate Johnson's work ethic is questionable, but still just mad. Especially of our very poor history of hanging onto young key position playersYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

While Quayle seems to be the only journo with the LJ-to-Adelaide story, that doesn't mean it doesn't have legs. She may have access to a very good source in either the Crows or Swans camp.Comment

Why dont they let Armstrong nominate for the preseason draft ? If he's still around ( which he should be ) we could grab him, if not no big loss and we dont have to give away a potentially very good player. We shouldnt be breaking our backs to get this guy.Comment
