Does anyone have any predictions on what the strategy is for tomorrows rookie draft? Up to 9 picks available to us.

Are there any of the players who didnt get picked up in the main draft you would like to see at the Swans?

How many ressie players or NSW scholarship guys will get picked up?

We've done some unusual things at recent Rookie Drafts, mostly due to financial constraints. I can't believe we've got so many picks today and can't see us using more than two or three given the reported weakness of the talent pool this year.

Maybe there might be a NSW surprise selection. Roll on 11am and all will be revealed.

The club has kept the list size pretty steady over recent seasons and it seems unlikely they will increase it significantly this year. So a total rookie list of 6-7 players is probable, of which 3 players already have a confirmed place (including Lynch, who will be chosen officially today). If Heath's body has withstood pre-season training thus far I expect them to re-draft him. If one of the two players Beatson said they were tossing up for pick 61 is still available come our first pick, maybe we'll draft them. Which leaves 1 or 2 spots that could be given to any of the NSW youngsters training with us (Thompson, Potter, Cunningham).

Goodes gave a glowing assessment of Cunningham's pre-season training efforts to a Wagga newspaper in which he implied he would be pushing for the club to draft Cunningham. It seems unlikely that Goodes would make comments like that unless he knew the lad was under firm consideration by the club.

Now we've started to pass. But that doesn't necessarily mean we're done if there are some NSW priority selections to come. These are always listed at the end of the draft, even after we've apparently passed multiple times.
