Can't say I completely agree. Roos were the better side but I thought the Cats were very threatening in the 4th and had every chance but couldn't kick over a jam tin.

Anyway, doesn't really matter, as long as we are the better side next week!

I thought the Roos answered decisively every time the Cats looked like getting close in the 4th. Your right though, it's irrelevant as long as we beat them next week.

mate I thought Reidy was under struct instructions to draw his defender and the spare man in front to the place where the ball was never going to go

brilliant effort but masterful coaching...........poor old Port didnt know where to send the extra man in defence........we had so many guys ending up at FF that Port Defenders and their coach where simply struggling to keep up......the amount of times we ended up in one on ones in the forward line to them was simply great coaching !!!!

See! That's what I mean. Aunty sees this and I missed it. Makes sense. If your biggest bloke is a bit injured, why wouldn't you make him a decoy. Not so much physical bashing, rest him up, give him a different job to do.

My friend C misses what Hanners was doing. I saw what Shaw was doing. But its on tv; you just cannot get the Big Picture when you are following the ball only or what the blokes in the wagon are putting up on screen.

Now, all we have to do is get the networks to do three screen transmitting so you can follow the play, follow the tactics and follow what on earth the umps are thinking of (quite frankly, they have me mystified).

That's a very fair and reasonable observation. I think as fans we're also more likely to post on here during a match when something frustrates us to try and help purge our frustration.

Good thing the Swans don't drop their heads like a number of their supporters obviously do. Of course it wasn't going to be pretty but the people who doubted the fight, the grit, and the mental toughness of our team need to have a good hard look at themselves and try to put in a better performance next week.

I have no problems with the negative comments on the matchday thread during the game. They are running through my head at the same time.
As long as you re read them after the game and see how silly they ended up being! No one can blame you during the moment!

Also i thought Mattner was great. Loved him helping out the other defenders by leaving his man and putting his body on the line

The problem is that I was watching the thread while at a family gathering and I was under the impression that we were getting well and truly spanked, and we couldn't mark/kick, etc. I was shocked by how Port had recruited all of the umpires and all we could do was draw the wagons in a circle for a last stand somewhere near their goalsquare. I was getting so depressed that I nearly started talking to my family.

lol Doss... Don't you just hate family gatherings where you have to interact with them. There's the cross dressing uncle who moonlights as a solicitor. The alcoholic aunt whose male fantasies include Jack Daniels and Johnny Walker, the arthritic Grandmother who wants to tell you about about her goiter and lectures you in great detail about the benefits of prune juice in your diet and the most annoying if all a father who supports Collingwood.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

The only problem there is that I probably resemble all of those (except the Collingwood bit) to my nephews and nieces! (The cross-dressing bit was when I was just wearing it for a friend, but they always seem to remind me of it...)

I thought the posts during the game reflected how I felt as well. We'd nearly given up a 45-point lead the previous game - the 2102 Swans seem to love skating on thin ice.

I'm really looking forward to the 2102 Swans. Adam Goodes VI will be a star.
