I can't see how anyone could prove collusion anyway if Parish say was picked before Mills. Melbourne and Essendon surely don't have to agree with Callam Twomey's player ratings.

I look forward to seeing which way we go, re: who we draft with our now spare 3rd round pick...I'll bet it's not a big bodied inside mid.

I'm not too disappointed by Dunks Jnr not selecting us, his vacillating has been really peeing me off actually.

I liked his father as a player but from what I have hear about him from people who know him he is now a nasty nasty piece of work and very very bitter and twisted re the Swans. Quite frankly I don't want his old man's bad energy around this club.

Will be interesting to see where he goes now, who is in the market for a slow midfielder with poor foot skills and questionable fitness? Don't wish him any harm but won't be following his career with any great concern with.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see us go for a KPD with our second rounder

So if Mills goes at say pick 3 and we aren't getting Dunkley, what will be our next live pick re: the points system? And are those swapping of picks now a bad thing making us pick lower?

I found this interesting. ON the AFL website there are a number of the high end draft boys being snapped questioned and Josh Dunkley comes across as a kind of Greg Stafford type, not all that fussed, not all that 'involved'. Just laid back and unfussed and definitely not involved in any hype. Its just who he is.

By my calculations....If Mills goes at pick #3 then we have to cough up 1787 points (includes 20% discount)

              We have picks # 33 = 563, # 36= 502, #37= 483, # 44=362, #54=220, #69=49, #72=19

              So by giving away 33,36, 37, 54, 72...equals exactly 1787

That leaves us picks 44, 69 and Mills....Pretty good I'd think.

I'll post this in the draft thread also.

Good luck Josh, I am a little sad about not nominating but thats life. Dunks senior was just about the best reader of the ball in the air for the whole comp, not just the Swans.

I am just waiting to see where my son will go to university and has applied in several states. All I want is for him to get the best outcome for his ongoing studies. No 'mummy's boy' here, he will be our son for life and we dont need to see him every week. At some point of your life you just have to let them go.?

MP , what was the falling out over with Dunks senior ? Was there some entitlement after football that he didn't get ?

Dunks snr wanted to keep playing, at 34, but Roos and list manager said no.

LMAO, we're not a vindictive bunch in here are we?

I don't see him as a great loss, just sad for him because from all reports he was a mad mad keen swans fan but I guess his old man has finally worn him down

I'll post this in the draft thread also.
It doesn't quite work that way in that you can't pick and choose which picks you use to pay for your academy kid.

So, we lose 33, 36, 37 and lose 239 points on 44 which moves it to 62.

Pick 54 will move up two picks from our drafting and we may get up to 4 or maybe 5 from GWS and Brisbane depending on what bids they need to match.

So 54 should become in the late 40s and our pick 62 should also move to the early to mid 50s. So, not too dissimilar to your scenario, possibly even a little better.

I'll be really interested to see where Dunks goes now, I suspect that it will be a team with a pick in the late 20s that it has earmarked for him and guaranteed that they will select him there provided he is still available. Clubs that meet the eye are North (26, 28) but more disturbingly, Collingwood at Pick 27.

                            Surely not?

If he goes there after all the stuff that has hit the fan this year with Eddie then I'll be most unimpressed and be quite prepared to boo him as a matter of principle.

I actually don't think the name is that famous in the big scheme of things.

Very harsh, almost unreasonable. Where's the justification? He hasn't even pulled on a jumper yet.

Unfortunate. Whatever you think of dunks jnr, by using the father son selection wed ger him at a discount to market value.
He's likely to be better than our 1st pick after mills will be.
