My thirtieth year of membership and I must say the Swannies just give us a great effort week in week out, I am so happy we always have a crack and we just go about the footy business quietly, that's from the Administration to the coaches and of course the players. Very very proud of today's efforts I must say! Goooooo Blooooooods...

We need some grunt up forward with McGlynn out. Maybe put Shaw up forward ( I remember a game maybe last year where he was moved forward and carved them up) and bring in Grundy. Play Grundy and LRT as the main talls, have Ted play the 3rd tall and then give Mal and Johnson clearance to run it out more.
          Thoughts?

Official announcement won't be made until after next week's finals, regardless of what commentators say. Usually, AFL preliminary finals are played on Friday and Saturday nights.

                Drop LRT. No, just joking.

To be fair, I don't think the debate of LRT was ever about his ability as a back. It is more about using him in the forward line.

Agree that most likely change will be Grundy for McGlynn. Parker to start to cover, but not sure who that makes the sub. Probably will be Morton with LRT back to the forward line. This is the "minimal change" scenario which is what the coaches have generally gone with this year.

Would be a bit disappointing given how good we looked up front and in defence this week. Might depend on who we play.

I'm shocked they announced it so quickly but it makes sense since ANZ will use the stadium on the Saturday. Now I have to decide whether to get tickets under my membership or my brother's ANZ membership. Family dilemmas.

If correct, good. We'll get an extra day to recover. Provided we win, of course.

Was skeptical about our chances given we were up against it, but again this team's toughness and resilience was on show. I'm so happy with the win, especially given we were in control through the whole match - no flurry of goals for the opposition this time.

Great game by LRT, Ted, Joey, ROK, Goodes (he's back!) and a special mention to Morton who looked dangerous and wasn't at all overawed. A couple of clutch goals and handy assists is a great game from him.

Yay! So glad to be in a prelim!! Will assess where we can improve tomorrow - today is just to celebrate and to appreciate that after 6 years we're back in serious contention.

Lastly it was pretty sad to see Benny McGlynn cry on the bench. It must be hard working for 3 years trying to get somewhere with this team and then finally breaking through to be a quality side and you get taken out of finals with injury. Nice to see Hanners give him a kiss though!

Exactly, it is the change I would envisage. Very hard to replace mighty mouse run and chase. Tragic loss, both for him and the team. Great team man.

I look forward to feeling very sorry for him on gf day
