haha I'm sure the real Graham Teasdale was somewhere in the VIP crowd festooned in brown. I was 5 rows from the very top and it was bloody cold and difficult to actually make out the players with my aging eyes. But it was obviously a privilege to be there at all and I'm very grateful to my daughter who organised everything and gave me the ticket as a birthday present.

The weather gods were trolling hard before the game with horizontal bursts of rain lasting only a few minutes, but they laid off for all the festivities and the better part of the wonderful contest. One of the best days ever.

EDIT: actually, I heard it rained a bit during parts of Temper Trap but I was understandably at the bar

Through a combination of a frantically busy week since getting back from Melbourne and chronic procrastination, I've only just gone through my Grand Final pics now. But here are my galleries, taken from M29:

Aardvark, that's a terrific pic - yours? Or did you get it on some site? If so, which one?
We are in the process of putting together a GF collage.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

And I couldn't find it in the Hun galleries, glad you could.

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this but the Coodabeens Grand Final Night radio show is worth listening to. It goes for a few hours but the vast majority of the show is dedicated to peoples feelings about the game. som great stories and a funny song by Greg Champion about Buddy.

Was laid up in bed yesterday (TripleB and BillyRay- I was alone but thanks for asking) so I watched the GF again. Two things that I didn't take much notice of in prior viewings was how close ROK was to kicking the game away and the fact the Pyke's kick out of the air to Jets could have gone anywhere. In close games like these it's amazing how many incidents you can dissect and then imagine what would happen if the ball went the other way.

Hope you're all better today Al.

Call it The Footy Gods or whatever you want, there are just some games that the result seems preordained!

My son & I are in the first pic. What an amazing season. I think certain things (Weast Coast injuries, Adeliade having bad first final) although we were amazing, this season was like destiny. With us losing 3 out of 4 games before the finals, I still find it hard to believe that we won. Maybe I've just seen too many finals loses in the 80's & 90's. I go into next season full of confidence that we can do it again (is this really me talking). I am so proud to be a Swans supporter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS CLUB - I'M SYDNEY TIL I DIE!!!!!

Think I will have to update my sign-off LOL

I was just wondering why you chose Myers instead of David Jones. Obviously better view of the televisions.
