I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

If he stays away this time, he will be seen as soft and will open himself up to worse abuse when he eventually gets across there??
Better to play his first game back in Adelaide against Port rather than the Crows. Get on with it.....Looking out for good omens which can bring the Swans the 2007 premiership
My kids had chicken pox and they were all red and white, that's oneComment

Now seems certain that Tippett will play against Port in Adelaide after the bye. Would be nice to see lots of red and white there to support him and all the Swannies particularly it there are some hostile elements in the crowd towards Kurt. I was delighted to find that Ticketmaster, which is the online ticket seller for this match, has updated their software so you can now choose your own seats. I was able to get one in same row as my Port-supporting sister who lives in Adelaide. Hmmm, may be that wasn't very smart as I will be surrounded by Port supporters!Comment

With the strong marking & 200cm+ frame, half a season played on the confines of the SCG, newfound inside 50 precision passing from our midfield ... can Kurt Tippett become our next Coleman Medalist &/or 100 goals in a season full forward in 2014?Comment

I wonder if the crows supporters realise that by turning up to a home game for Port, they are helping their arch rivals gets a decent crowd and some money??
Who do they hate the most, Tippett or Port?
Should be interesting to see what the crowd colours are on Saturday night!doof-doofComment

From months to weeks and now only days away until Kurt makes his much anticipated debut. The wait will be worth it and we all now need to embrace him into the club. Forget whatever any other team supporters think of him as it will not only be Crows fans that will be livid when he starts to perform in his new colours of Red and White. Hope he kicks at least 5 but if he doesn't others will and he will have played his team role.Comment

Tippett's debut suddenly looks a lot harder given the corpse of Poor Power after five losses in a row has risen off the slab and started dancing again! I think we may prove a tougher opponent than GWS was today.
Only hope GWS are as insipid againt us in a few weeks as they were against the Power today.
Oh, and Tippett to debut with an accurate half dozen :-)Comment

One of my real concerns with how well we are playing is that many of us start to believe that the team is infallible and that all we need to do to win is turn up. John Longmire has a real job on his hands:
1) to convince the players that the reason they are favourited to win is because of the way we are playing and not because we are so good
2) to maintain the desire that they showed last week against opposition we all know we should beat.
Now we as supporters do not have a coach/coaches or a strong leadership team to keep our mind focused and free from complacency so occasionally we start to believe that there are only 2 or 3 teams that are left in the race for the flag.
Port Adelaide may not be a favoured team but may I remind you they just beat a team we could only beat by 32 pts by 75 pts.
They will be playing before a rabid crowd full of supporters from both Adelaide teams one to support port the rest to boo Tippett.Comment

If the players need a reason to give their all, stick this to their bloody lockers. This guy is going hell for leather to get back there!
