Does anyone actually think that Tippett will play against Port in Adelaide? Since we don't need him to beat Port, I would be surprised if they played him, simply because traveling around there he will be no doubt be abused. What has been made painfully clear is the murky depths to which Crows fans sink, and I guarantee you that there will be Crows fans who attend the Port game for the sole purpose of abusing Tippett. In predictable fashion, they will take time out from their important schedules to create anti-Tippett banners and signs, publicly acknowledging their pathetic delusional insecurities.
Why needlessly subject a guy to this $#@%?

I really doubt too many Crows supported will bother. As ignorant, petty & spiteful as they can be at their convenience, they won't even attend Port vs Crows games if it is a Power home match (Power hosted Showdowns attract smaller crowds). To attend a Power home game to heckle an EX-Crow seems unlikely.
I dunno, you could be right, but I wouldn't put it past a couple of them. Some people would do anything for attention, especially with the media feeding on this sort of small-minded thing. But I think even if this didn't eventuate, it would still be a highly uncomfortable trip for Tippett, even if its just walking through the airport and getting from A to B, given how much his name was slandered. Next year won't matter so much. Just seems like it could be a distraction. We don't need him to beat Port.

It's not about beating Port - it's about getting him game time. He'll play.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I'd do it for $800k.....
We'll have to play him with Mummy out I'd have reckoned.

With Mummy injured, Tippett is a near certainty to play against Port.
Yes, there will be a bunch of flogs out there abusing him, and I feel for the guy. But it's just something he's going to have to learn to deal with whenever we play the Crows.

Yep. Hopefully the abuse will inspire him even more.
I'm sure he knows what to expect in Adelaide.
Looks like from the Video he was there Saturday night anyway. I reckon it would be pretty gutless if he avoided the game because of the possibility of a little abuse. Get it over with and move on.

I was just thinking about how Longmire is all about minimal fanfare and the removal of distractions when it comes to focusing on footy. I guess all factors need to be considered. He'll probably play with Mumford out.

No, that was filmed at the SCG in the game against Essendon

Yeah I worked that out when I eventually watched it properly. There's no way he should avoid going to Adelaide. It would just prolong the agony. They have long memories over there and he's gotta face it eventually.
