We already have that in the bag - four Daniher brothers for Neville Fields.

It was a shocker but it was only 2 Danihers, Terry and Neale. Anthony actually played a lot of games with us before joining Essendon. Chris Daniher was a lot younger. South were ordinary traders compared to Sydney Swans!

Schneider & Dempster for pick 26 (Meredith)

North received the rights to 2 NSW players ... Wayne Carey & John Longmire. Sydney got $60K for Longmire & $10K for Carey.

Carey and Longmire deal has to take the cake. Whoever orchestrated that wouldn't include it on CV!

They got it right sometimes....Pitura for Teasdale and two other handy players wasn't a bad one......though more Richmond's stupidity than Swans nouse maybe.

Good call Stevo- Francis Jackson and Whale Roberts. Picture was a dud for them. Trade helped us make finals in 1977- Tigers knocked us out in elimination final.

The club was privately owned and the bloke who had it was virtually bankrupt. He would have sold his grand mother for a $100! Nothing to do with football but the la la land of big business and gigantic egos.

See Tippo made Mark Robinsons list of dislikes this week: "... Tippett might be the most overpaid and underperformed player in the history of the game ... He is said to be earning in the range of $800,000 and if true, he?s far from value for money. He simply has to impose himself on games."

You have made me feel so much better, only the fifth or so worst trade ever. I don't know why but that seems to be good news. Can we start a countdown clock to when his contract expires, perhaps seeing time pass will make it seem to go faster.

PS Nothing personal against Kurt I'm sure he is a great bloke and any of us would take the best offer on the table. Just a bad fit for our club.

Just for the record, Tippett wasn't involved in a trade. He was taken in the 2012 PSD.

You're absolutely correct, let me change that to one of the worst signings ever possibly the worst (based on money vs output). I'm sure there have been worse players taken but not paid as much.

                            Not even close! Dermott Brereton.

If Franklin came before Tippett, we would still have Mumford instead.

Tippett was gotten as a "marquee" player who was quickly overshadowed.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
