Shame on you Aaarrrr......that wasn't noice!! OK Jesse has driven us mad, but less so this year, and he was killing it in ressies. Finally got it. But too late for THIS team. And he knows it.

Adelaide should be pleased to get a highly trained ruckman/forward from the Steve Taubert stable!

considering the swans have a great rap for fair trades (not our fault we pick up fring eplayers and turn them into champs..) honestly Tippet is worth pick 22 (normally a early 2nd round pick) and white...i would be very happy with that deal and use our later picks for some kpp's

If we did, Adelaide would jump at that. Still a week to go. Hold out for Jesse and 2nd round pick would be my advise to swans.

Come on guys, take off the red and white glasses.

If Adelaide finally accept a deal, it will be pick 22 and Jesse White and even that deal is skewed in our favour. I would imagine that we are trying to get pick 13 from GWS (for our pick 22 and a players combo) to make sure the deal is done with them.

There is no way they will take our second round pick and White, it would be an insult to them and they would be well within their rights to let KT walk into the uncertainty of the ND and PSD.

If we would like to maintain our relationship with the rest of the comp as fair traders then the deal was always going to be pick 22/player or less if we can manufacture a deal with someone else for a lower pick.

I've been saying throughout this thread that Tippett would go for far less than his fair value. I've been estimating around a late first round pick less, which would equate to something like our second round pick and Jesse. If we added our first round pick, that would be fair value.

There are many reasons, discussed throughout this thread, why Tippett should go for less than he is worth. The AFC have been baulking about how they have been betrayed by KT, but it is really the other way round. They have known for years that he wanted out. He wanted to be traded last year, when they could have gotten fair value, but they decided to risk it and keep him on their list in 2012. They've disingenuously chosen to represent his desire to leave Adelaide as wanting to return to Queensland and used that to undercut our very fair bid to acquire KT. And have further used this excuse to disavow their gentleman's agreement to facilitate a trade for him. If AFC get less than fair value for Tippett, they are the one's responsible. I feel their public representation of Tippett has been reprehensible.

I do feel for the AFC, the city of Adelaide and their fans who have had to endure an exit of quality players to other places. The AFC have built a quality team despite this, but PA is a real basket case. The AFL is faced with many inequities at the moment concerning player transfers. Free agency will only add to this. But the trend is that players will have more and more to say as to where they will play as time goes on.

                    Is Tippett really that good?
I thought the mullett is probably better.

He probably is but he is not the one wanting to come to Sydney.

didnt Dawes just go for pick 20 and pick 45? and even then pick 45 was a swap for pick 58 i think ?

I see strong upside with Dawes..........the guy is an extremely skilful tall but wanted to stay in Melbourne fullstop !
