I'm not angry with Tippett, he is a gun player. I understand he can't be blamed for injuries, merely wishing we could get a solid season out of him and reap some real benefit from our investment. It's not his fault, but it is nonetheless frustrating, especially seeing what he can do when he's fit. Here's to a big 25 game year for the big fella!
Tippett!!

Well considering that Mummy could have cost us the GF in 2012 if it wernt for Pike and that he had a hard time getting back on the field for GWS last year..i think the club did the right thing.
People keep bringing up mummy as a massive lost when really he spends more time off the field than tippett.
And Andres looks and plays like a superstar because he is surrounded by spuds at the blues.
I am happy with tippett. His first season even with the massive suspension he still kicked a huge amount of goals.
And injuries occur and really unavoidable in the manner that tippett throws himself around. Its a risk..all major big $ recruits is a massive risk in a game like rules.
I am sensing a bit schadenfreude from some fans in regards to tippett.Comment

I hope we don't lose tipoff at the end of the year.

Hi Melbourne_Blood. I understand the frustration. The Swans would have completed a full medical before he signed and must have been happy with him. Either that or the rumoured number of games played clause in his contract others here have mentioned is real. Regardless, unless the player is over training or partaking in stupid acts off the field - I'm not going to be angry with any player injured on the park.

Not sure if it was worth the $$$, but his massive torp at the SCG was very memorable!

Most definitely not, considering one could argue such an occurence was a contributing factor to the 2006 grand final loss."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Just been through looking over 2013 and 2014 vids/streams. For the 2014 stuff, Lance looks a hell of a lot better when Tippet is around (mainly as score assists). Probably not worth the ~$800K, but close. Maybe $600K pa for another 3 years?Comment

If he can't prove that he can stay on the field this year, I'd be offering him half of what he is reputed to be earning. No good if he can't stay on the field - although I definitely agree that Buddy looked a hell of a lot better with Tippett on the field."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Oh Tipoff.
Anyone ready to admit he was a big waste of money yet?
Seriously.
Not impressed at all.
How the F do you miss from in front, 10 metres out? I said to the people with me, watch him miss this one... they all laughed.
It's not like you have a day job Tipoff. How hard is it to kick goals for a living?Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Each to their own, but I just can't blame our forwards for the games we've lost this year when the delivery from the midfield has been as poor as it has been at times. The miss was bad though.
Tippo gets more attention because he is highly paid, but overall he has been fine.Comment

He kicked 2 lovely snap goals showing agility that totally belies how he usually moves ... but the usual dropped marks & then failing to seal the game from dead in front ... oh my? Not worth what we are paying him IMO.
Talking of failing to seal, did you see dear Schneider miss 2 chances straight in front to win in the last few minutes? Still love him though.Comment

All of our 17 misses were costly!!
