It's bad, but at least it's simple: we have to win 2. Comparatively not so worried about Collingwood who have the massive challenge of Hawthorn followed by a couple of potentially tricky games in West Coast and North Melbourne. Richmond, however, on current form, should win all 3 against Carlton, GWS and Essendon with very few troubles at all. Essendon gone of course.

So, here it is: win 2 out of 3 coming up, and be a chance to win the flag. Don't, and we're not. Big 3 weeks ahead.
    Yep.

A bit too reminiscent of 2006 for my liking...

I'm going to have to cheer for Carlton. I feel dirty already.

We need to go for Carlton, Hawthorn and North Melbourne this week, beat the Saints and then we can't be knocked out of the top 4. But really can you see Carlton beating Richmnd?

No. I think they're a spent force. You never know though, rivalry and all that. Richmond had a poor second half on the weekend too.

I remember a few years back there was a race for 8th spot (between the Bulldogs and somebody else who I can't remember) and there were cameras on the Bulldogs (at their club I think) as they watched the game that would decide if they were in the finals or not. Not a nice position to be in for us if we have to depend on other outcomes to decide our fate for 4th. We really have been spoilt over the last years.

I'm confident we can win all 3 remaining games and get 2nd spot...

Richmond are so overrated. So are Carlton and Essendon. If Sydney were playing like those sides, with the same win/loss, you wouldn't hear a peep about us in the media. It's like Victorians think that by wanting their sides to be good, it makes it so.

I've laughed at Carlton all season. Every time they have a good quarter we hear how they've bought into 'the Malthouse way' and will now be making an assault on September. As I've said to my Carlton-supporting friends all year when they share something to this effect on social media - bwahahaha!

Sounds like their players will be buying into the Centrelink way pretty soon!

Nice! Malthouse will be there in a few years.

Mick belongs in the Cranky Old Codgers Village.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Guys, I think we'll have to get used to the fact that the Swans won't make GF this year. There isn't enough hunger among senior players. We might get another crack at it with the younger players when they're ready.

Well then the coaches need to starve the players for a couple of weeks and then sit in front of them eating cereal out of the Premiership Cup. That should do the trick.
