Yeah, it's a much better game than I anticipated, but agree with you, North are going to do that Q4 thing again...

If we can win this weekend it'll definitely help with that Top 4 finish now. We just need Freo to drop another one (which most likely won't happen) to give us a bit of relief before the Cats/Hawks double. Of course knocking off both of them will give us Top 2 (it'll probably happen since I'll be out of the country so will miss them and the finals).

Pleasing result. Guess this is one of the first time in my memory that I can recall cheering for the Roos. 1977 grand final replay was the last time I can recall... (half full on the fence if I recall completely..)

2nd should be achievable, which would be very nice indeed!

Good lesson to learn from Norths too : The Pussy Cats hate being bullied and tackled to a standstill .

From here, Geelong play Port (h), Eagles (a), Sydney (h), Brisbane (h)

If they win all four, they will finish above us.

One down. Now for Carlton and Collingwood to win. And of course we have to beat the Doggies and set up our top 4 finish.

True, but if we win all the rest of ours (including against Geelong) except for the Hawks game, we will finish ahead of them now. Up until tonight's result we would have needed to beat Hawthorn as well to guarantee finishing ahead of Geelong.

I thought Geelong's skills looked pretty mediocre at times tonight. They are still a very good side but not quite at the level they were a few years back. Varcoe looks to be really struggling to have any impact at the moment, and Hawkins isn't playing at last year's level. Putting Pods back into the side will make their forward line more potent but still not completely scary.

If not for the lopsided umpiring the score could have been embarrassing for Geelong. We need to be careful not to allow them to duck into tackles and draw fouls, especially inside our 50. The umps will also allow the crowd the influence their decisions. Also, Motlop needs a full time minder. If we do those 2 things, we have a real shot of beating them in Geelong.

I think we'll go undefeated for the rest of the season.

Why are all Swans supporters I know so certain of defeat at Kardinia Park?

Come on guys, the reality is that Sydney is a superior team to Geelong in 2013. Motivated with the prospect of hosting a Qualifying Final why shouldn't the Swans win Away v the Cats!??

Because we lost a game to Port we shouldn't have, and drew with Freo
