Eddie the horse's arse. Collingwood's recalcitrance to release Eade shows just how much Eddie only thinka about the Pies rather than the greater good of the game. His complete lack of good will come back to bite them though.

Stuff joining with Eddie. It's us against the world. Of we do need support against Gillon, the AFL and the rest of the Melb clubs, it should come from interstate. GWS, Suns, Freo, Port, Crows, Lions, Weagles, and the Swans- that's a pretty handy union (and the top 8 for 2015).

You people are being short sighted. Eddie is winning against the Swans. He has won the Cola, banned recruitment and the academy's are next.

The AFL community, the AFL commission and the media are backing Eddie. The Hawks are good mates with Eddie and no one is raising an eyelid on Frawley or O'Rourke.

It's to bring Eddie into the tent and nullify him. Forgiveness and friendship from Adam will be warmly received from Eddie and he will lay off the Swans to keep building a bridge with Adam.

This is a pragmatic decision in the best interests of the football club.

DO you really think that kissing his butt with a few lunches is going to get Eddie on side. Eddie will only get on side if there is something in it for Collingwood.

The current situation wasnt borne out of any particular rift with Collingwood, simply out of his crusade to ensure that no one gets any favours over and above what Collingwood. If he had it his way - we would all just line up to be smashed by Collingwood every weekend as if it was a privilege.
So yeah get him to support the academies and he will be happy as long as you then give Collingwood first choice at the players from within. Then he will love us and all of this will go away .

Remember his overwhelming support for GWS - you take any of our players and we will come after yours forever type barb.

Eddie has one agenda - ensure Collingwood is a powerhouse and ensure that the only real hand outs from the league go to clubs that will always struggle and if any of those clubs dare to have success then you watch how quickly the calls will come to remove equalisation payments etc.

There is nothing about me that is ?self-proclaimed?. I simply give a fair and reasonable evaluation on how the market sees my blogging and contribution.

Going to lunch can improve relations with Eddie. He is a human being and can succumb to the interests of people who show him friendship, charm and generosity. Besides Eddie is probably a funny larrikin to have lunch with.

I can?t host him at my house because despite positive words from the Red and White community, Matt80 is not an important figure in the AFL landscape. Time will be better spent with Adam Goodes, Andrew Ireland and John Longmire.

My strategy is worth a try. Bashing Eddie is not winning this game.

Eddie needs to deliver a lot more than just one flag for the time he has been there and it seems his last two years has been that of a man who is losing his power at his beloved pies. So he has to be seen as fighting for Collingwood and by doing so he has become more aggressive and a lot more insufferable.

IMHO he cannot have another period like 2005-2007 where the club made investments off field that lost millions of $ and on field they were going no where fast, especially around 2005 regardless if people think they tanked.

I think another period like that and Eddies is gone, especially after destroying collingwoods premiership window. He knows that.

We dont need collingwood at all, let alone McGuire. Sure we owe the pies for voting to keep us in back in the cold days BUT that was more at carlton than us.

Putting Eddie in a room with Goodes, Ireland or Longmire would put him in a tense and defensive mode. There's far too much bad blood between them.

Eddie wont allow Goodes, Longmuire or Ireland a word. When he is defensive Eddie will speak over you and not allow you to defend yourself. As soon as you do Eddie will cut you off and go on another rant and repeat what he said previously. When its your turn to speak again Eddie will do it again and again until he exhausts you and well you just give up.

Oh and another thing, before he knives you in the back multiple times, McGuire will tell everyone how much of a top bloke you are and how you are good buddies, then as soon as your back is turned..bang.
